Nothing new there then,he was the same the other day against Wolves .
Yes I think it might now be his natural walk he's spent so much time doing it.

As soon as we went 3-2 up that was such a mature performance to win the game. Brierley outstanding last 20 minutes.

We played so, so well once we'd gone 3-2 up and could quite easily have scored again. Really positive showing.

Wasn't it. We dominated much of the game after our third goal.

He's an enigma is Manny. Superbly talented but just gives off that "cant be arsed" vibe.

One of the commentators couldn't stop talking about their 11 shots on goal. 2 goals can't be far off what you'd expect.

Might of just been because I was watching on my phone but Brierley looked like he had grown since Huddersfield hahaha!

Pleased for Casper making the saves he made to

Sounds like he's showing a good attitude which Is good to see.
Doubt it will be enough to change Parkers mind though.

I don't see him being in the plans given he's now played two PL2 games, otherwise he'd have been lined up for tomorrow.

Depending how he's done today was maybe a decider in Parker's mind on whether he stays or goes, maybe.

I've no idea whether or not this was Liverpool's first-choice team but any victory against one of their academy teams is a huge achievement.

And one of our goalscorers, Kian McMahon-Brown, has only just turned 17 (three weeks ago).

Just seen George Brierley was playing, only 17 too.

Looks very much like their first choice team. Had Jayden Danns upfront who has played for them in the Prem, Trey Nyoni who has played for the first team in the Champions League.

We also had Fabio So and Albert Blackie start the game who are both 17 too. Pouani came off the bench, also 17.

I hope playing Benson today is part of a planned reduced workload programme aimed at getting him finally free of these persistent injuries that have plagued his last 2 years.

Parker said he isn't in one of his press conferences I think.

Thanks, Mattser.

Cannot remember but not sure we've often had four 17-year-olds in an U21 side before.

Wouldn't be able to say whether we've had that many before. I do think we'll see our U21 lineup get younger over the next few weeks though. Would imagine likes of Mellon and Tweedy will go on loan, maybe even Campbell, Casper and Ashton too with younger U21s or some U18s taking their place.

I think you're right. MM has to go out on loan and I think Tweedy does as well. The problem is finding clubs. I would expect Mellon will get a club in the next few days.

And Kian McMahon-Brown who has recently had his 17th birthday.

Superb win. Absolutely delighted with that, especially with so many younger lads in the team.

When Bauress, McDermott and Waller went out on loan and we sold Westley/Adewumi (technically), I wondered how we’d get on, but seems from the narrow Wolves defeat and this win that we’re in good shape. Albeit maybe supported a bit by Benson being in the team.

Did think this summer we might buy one or two prospects for the U21’s - Sangare went to City but we were also linked with an offer for his team mate Ayman Kari (currently unattached) but looks like we’re not taking that approach.

Did Ellis Clark play today? If so, how did he get on?

Ellis Clark not involved, neither was Tom Tweedy and we haven't seen either Hamzat Balogun, Joe Bevan or Charlie Veevers in either game.

Sorry Tony, had missed the report.

Good point about Tweedy, Balogun, Veevers, etc. it was only really Bevan that I’d noticed missing. Injuries or could they be having trials preceding a loan elsewhere? Or maybe involved tonight?

Unfortunate own goal for Pool's first goal. But fantastic reasoning from Casper whether to handle it or not. Let it go in and with 11 vs 11 Burnley were still in with a chance. Handle it, give away a penalty and get sent off - penalty probably scored anyway and Burnley to play most of the match with 10. Then he put in a magnificent performance!
