Started 4-4-2 then he’s changed it to the 5-4-1 after our early struggles
We need five across the middle - just can't cope with four at this level

Big half time talk now from Parker. The lads need it. Still in it, come on Burnley.

As dire as United were last season they remained unbeaten against the 3 newly promoted clubs. Huge gulf in class between the Championship and PL.

I would be bringing Tchouna and Laurent on straight away. The lads are struggling like mad.

With the exception of Ugochukwu, you could take any of the midfield/front line off and not miss them. Like deer in the headlights.

HT 1-0. We are still in this. They always play better towards the Stretford End.
Changes needed though. The obvious ones are Tchaouna for JBL and Flemming for Hannibal but I worry we’d miss Hannibals defensive shift.
Edit. Just seen Laurent mentioned above. Him for Hannibal would suit.

Whatever this use of Hannibal is, it’s not working at all. He’s offering us nothing at either end of the pitch and we’re wide open through the middle.

Glad it's still 1-0. If Parker can sort us out - we're still in this.

Stranger things have happened, Try and keep it at 1 0 for as long as possible and hopefully they'll become anxious as the game should be over ..

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lauren on.

Should be more than just 1-0. The goal is a shocker in terms of the marking. The guy literally doesn't even have to move.

Best 0-1 of all time playing like that. Credit to Man United, but we should've been expecting them to come out fighting. It looked like we were hoping they'd fold like a deckchair, just not at it or matching their levels of energy.

Worst I've seen us play for a long, long while.
They're no great shakes either. If we played even half as well as we did at Spurs, they'd know they were in a game.
As it is . . . . .

Defensive set pieces so far this season are a massive concern, we look all over the place defending them.

Perhaps not so much a poor performance by our lads, but a very good and much better than expected/hoped for one from Manure Knighted; they appear to have got their **** together today.

Lucky to be only 1-0 down. Well, there’s the answer to ‘will Utd respond well to a poor result?’

Not out of it, especially if Utd get edgy, but difficult to see where a goal is coming from.

Last season we couldn't score from one, this season we can't seem to defend them. Even the free-kick that Sunderland had should have been a goal.

It could and should be 5 or 6 already

The worst half of football we've had under Parker because it's been shocking all-over the pitch, it's just nothingness and appalling viewing so far

We're so far away from them it's horrible to see. So disappointing. The time and space they have combined with our dallying on the ball and lack of options is shocking. As for our defence, just awful

You have to be happy with 1-0 considering how we've played.
We can only get better, they will have a job to maintain if we play with a bit more nous.

I feared the worst after Grimsby, they would either lay down, unlikely, or play their socks off.
I hope SP can calm us down, we've got plenty on the bench to mix it up.

Come on you Clarets.

Keep it at 1-0 and we've always got a chance.

We surely can't play that badly in the second half, also (hopefully) they can't be as good?

Very lucky to only be 1 down here.

Pretty poor performance all round.

I cant get my head around how we are so bad at set pieces , either way.
We very rarely make first contact when attacking or defending.
This utd team aren't upto much, few of these players are flat track bully's and we are the flat track at the minute.
Cmon - cant see us being as poor in second half.

Absolutely mullered. Pretty scary stuff. United should be out of sight. Kind of dreading the 2nd half cos if the same pattern continues this could easily end up being a thrashing.

But then again, SP might make a couple of astute changes and it may no longer be so one sided !😊

How the hell is Foster getting pelters today?

He's had the ball about three times and each time successfully held it up/moved it on. We haven't played a pass near him for most of the game, what the heck is he supposed to do?

WE cant be as bad in the second half-just need to get Anthony in the game and bring Tchaouma on instantly. At least Cullen and Les trying

Ugochukwu giving the ball away with a lazy pass has been typical of our slack play,we’re making them look like Barcelona.

Switch to a back four essential. They are playing it outside Esteve at will.

Other than that, was nervy and inhibited, coupled with a lack of intent.

I would put Edwards on for JBL and go back four, someone to drop a shoulder and go at them. Loum later on for Hannibal if needed. We can't just keep these teams at bay for 90. It will cost Scott his job and me my sanity. There has to be a realistic attacking intent, not just hope a break works for us.

You can excuse good players being far better than ours, but what you can't excuse is an unmarked header leading up to their goal.

The marking was simply pathetic!

We started with a back 4 for the first 25 minutes. It got changed as we weren’t in the game at all.

He dont need pelters today but his last action of the half was literally to head it past defender to run on to but over hit it about 50yrds.

1-0 down at HT after that display (Utd playing like a team possessed and we barely look composed in any form) is actually a superb result. A better team would have put 5 past us. Dubrovka making some superb saves.

Don't mind us not being able to compete in their box but very disappointed with how poor our defending has been. Shocking.

Ahh well, hopefully Parker has given them a rocket and we come out a different side
