Be honest, we are never getting that penalty in that situation. Ever.

It’s a good result for football, because it keeps Amorim in and job and United being really ****.
And that's no help to us what so ever.

United celebrating the big 3 points in the relegation battle, demise them even more now after their antics this afternoon and the sooner someone snaps and does a Zidane on Fernandes the better.

We were never going to be allowed to leave with a point there. Absolutely braindead from Anthony though, it wasn't even a dangerous pass.

One of those weekends where I feel like I just can't be bothered with watching us in this league. It's absolutely awful.

A much better 2nd half. Manure think they are worldbeaters after a late penalty.

WHAT THE F is a 'sustained' foul?

Have they changed the rules to where the foul ended, rather than where it began?
Mry exact issue.

Definitely tuhged the shirt (needlessly). Definitely dives once inside the area.

I wish I couldn't have written the script - soft penalty at OT for MU then BF "redeems" himself. Ref makes up some obscure wording.

Such a disappointment after we gave a very good account of ourselves. Credit to SP, if we go down giving it a go, like we have in all 3 games, then I can take it. A good game.

Prepare yourselves for the dodgiest penalty decision you've ever seen today. For United obviously. Just got a feeling.
You said it.

Proud of the lads though. We go on and they know, deep down, that they didn't deserve that. I know which club I want to support.

Bad from Antony should never have given the ref to make a decision but we can't get away from our defending it was school boys defending and we made utd look good because of it , hopefully lessons learnt...

A natural reaction from Diallo as well, gets his shirt pulled back and he jumps himself forwards.

Really tough to take. We were excellent second half. But this league takes no prisoners and you can’t be as brainless as Anthony was there I’m afraid. Away points are like gold dust and it feels like we’ve thrown one away there.

Yeah exactly, I don't any grumbles with the overall decision.

A weird weird game if I'm honest.

We defended abysmally 1st half and early into the second. And have to address those basic mistakes.

Attacking wise I'm incredibly impressed with the 2nd half and notably with Foster who showed if gets service he will deliver.

Shirt pull was a pen, I'm not aggrieved by it. Very frustrating after an amazing second half where we were looking more and more comfortable.

If you sit back trying to defend a point you are going to give them chances to get penalties or late goals.

Don't forget physics changes when you're playing football.

The box has a massive gravity field in it. If you get pulled backwards near it, you automatically get dragged forwards into it.

Having seen it, I think its a penalty unfortunately. It's a very bad decision from Anthony to pull the shirt there. It may well be the case that it's unlikely to be a penalty at the other end but that's besides the point. It's a penalty.

It's a promising performance but given how fragile United are and given its Liverpool next, that's a huge missed opportunity.

Proud of the lads and many positives in that second half performance.

We now finish strong in the window and carry on.

Utd will beat most teams at Old Trafford this season and we pushed them all the way.

The main thing is that we are competitive, this is a totally different situation than the VK season.

We will stay up this season.

Checked the rules and it is a penalty. If you start tugging a shirt outside the area and it continues in the area, it's a "continuous foul" and a penalty. To get so close and do something so stupid with VAR watching, at Old Trafford, is mind boggling.

Let’s face it, ref had to give them that after overturning the one in the first half on the balance of probability.

It's a free kick out side of the box, he'd let go by the time he's inside. Same old story in this league.

Plenty positives to take from that second half, alongside plenty of learnings, particularly defensively.

Whatever the view of the penalty, Anthony shouldn’t have given that option by pulling his shirt.

I still think we are 3 players short and need to look at Hannibal. I’m not criticising his effort and work rate, but I just don’t see enough of a threat from him as the most advanced midfielder.

Unfortunately this is true and it maybe is a pen. Said with gritted teeth. Anthony stupid for doinging he's not even getting ball.

The issue i have with it is it theat was us im 70% convinced they would have said, foul started outside the box. Which IS correct but can be seen both ways. Just know reff would of been looking at reasons not to give it...not pure cheating its just the way things are especially at home against the big boys, its almost as if the refs dont know they are doing it.

What if the "sustained shirt pulling" starts inside the area and finishes outside....do they give a free kick outside the area????

What an absolute corrupt load of rubbish

We weren't. I was feeling pretty comfortable there. The pass Diallo was running onto was running harmlessly out of play. We all but had a point, and popped it in the bin.

Fair enough, maybe I'm looking at it based on the old rules of where the foul started?

My second point stands. Burnley did a lot right today, away, against a team that really should be beating us comfortably. If we keep competing like we did today, we're in with a chance
