Got it in 3. Good old Gorden came to mind, but just looked and it's a different spelling and meaning altogether.

71 streak ended, there's been a few dodgy words later, and Americanisms are the worst.

Got it in 3, although I always thought that word was spelt differently!

A gofer is what you are in your first weeks/month in the factory. It’s the person who gets sent for the striped paint or left handed screwdriver or long stand.

This is why I stopped doing it. I had a streak of well over two hundred using, I thought, logic. But examples like this show it to be a guessing game sometimes.

If you have three letters like that, rather than trying to guess the word one using the already discovered letters, in this instance, * O * V E R, try a completely different word that uses none of those letters, to try and locate the two missing letters.

I use the same word to start and it came up once.
Last two days have proved easy for me because of my choice of first word.

If you fail at Wordle - just carry on to Dordle, Quordle and Octordle.

I quite like Squaredle
It's nothing like Wordle (other than the name) but it's a nice puzzle
