The last of those 14 prem appearances was when? 18 months ago? He’s has an awful injury and there are no guarantees he is the same player. That wonderful season in the championship is even longer ago.
He had a good game against the second string of a team that sits 21st in the championship.
The player who replaced Hannibal was Tchaouna, who had an even better game against that Derby team.
Let’s have a bit of perspective.
I have perspective. Ramsay is an attacking midfielder. Tchaouna is a winger. We lost presence in the middle when Hannibal went off. Tchaouna should be on instead of JBL or Edwards.
But that's just my perspective - I respect yours

Is Ramsay the latest player to have got better and better the less he plays?
There’s a talented player in there and he needs game time, but realistically is that with us? Is that a luxury we can afford? A loan deal where he’s a guaranteed starter seems eminently sensible.
No offence to you specifically, but "is it a luxury we can afford" is a sentence used for just about anyone with creativity in the squad it seems. We need ball-winners, physical players and grafters of course, but sometimes you need a moment of difference. Edwards is much maligned recently, but at some point this season we'll need him to come up with something. In terms of someone who can play a killer pass in a tight area, I can only think of Edwards, Tresor and Ramsey who have that skillset. Perhaps Cullen from deeper too, but we don't have many.

I am extremely happy if Ramsey goes out on loan. Asking him to play in the prem straight after a massive layoff is a huge risk. Let him get some games under his belt and re-assess in Jan

I would point out we scored our second equaliser when Tchaouna came on.
At the end of the day, if Parker thought the AR was the piece of the jigsaw that unlocks defences, and was ready, he’d be staying here and not going out on loan.
My guess is with Luis coming in, Ugochukwu moves up the pitch a little. He’s been very promising.

I meant time is the luxury we can’t afford, not a ‘luxury player’.

I think we're probably doing everything possible to get Tresor out the door. SP basically said that the other day.

Coming from a very bad injury and then trying to make an impact in a relegation threatened PL side isn't the best for either party.
Ramsey needs game time and we need an available PL midfielder who is proven at being able to "play a killer pass in a tight area"
We do now need some proven PL creativity.
Ramsey could become that player in future but he is nowhere near that level currently.

Fair point. Whether it's Ramsey or not, as long as we have those qualities in the squad that's fine. Being a complete Tresor junkie, I hope he stays

Unless Tresor is staying, which I really can’t imagine (or we’re signing another 10, which I equally can’t imagine), feel this is a bit of a mistake. Going very light on creativity in midfield.
Maybe it's because there are more takers for Ramsey than there are for Tresor?

So, both Isak and Wissa get their moves despite both questioning the integrity of the club owners. If a manager behaves in a similar fashion he gets shown the door. Just emphasises the power that big name players who can command a big transfer fee hold over even the largest clubs with very wealthy owners.

Personally I think Tresor will go as well because he's in a similar situation to Ramsey.
He needs game time and we need someone who is ready and firing on all cylinders.
I rate Tresor highly but to expect him to turn around an 18 month lay off and be our creative saviour in the Premier is asking a bit much especially as he's only played 10 minutes, even less than Ramsey.
I would love Tresor to get back in the team and be brilliant for us but I just think its a big stretch for him even with his undoubted ability and definitely a big risk for us at this stage.
SP must have someone lined up I'm almost sure of it.
He said on Saturday that two were hopefully coming in.

I think we've 3 luxury players in Amdouni, Tresor and Ramsay - they all have immense capability. We can't loan out Amdouni with him being injured, so ideally atleast one of the other two could go out on loan for game time.

Ramsey is a great move for both parties-I just hope we have specified some realistic target to Leicester on the amount of game time enjoys, otherwise its pointless

Sadly, these transfers along with Gyokeres are a continued sign of things to come……
Bigger club comes in with a bid, player refuses to train or play for current club claiming a ‘Gentleman’s agreement’ was discussed and that the club are out of order for trying to keep them. End result - player gets what he wants like a petulant whingeing child.
What goes around comes around Mr Isak and I wouldn’t want to be you next season away at Newcastle!!

Tresor has Pace by the you know what’s and seems more than happy to do very little and accept what I guess is a pretty large salary No doubting his ability but it’s of no use if he doesn’t want to play

Villa apparently signing Elliot, Sancho and Lindelof.
Not sure Lindelof massively improves them defensively but the other two will from an attacking perspective. Watching them last night I thought they might be in a bit of trouble this season and get drawn in to it but when you can do that the next day…

Liverpool are going to be a tough first game back after the break if they get all the signings they are rumoured to be bringing in.

Interesting post, let’s see what pans out today but I am not sure who really holds the cards as you head in to a day like this.
If Tresor’s agent has failed to find an agreement that would be acceptable to us, I sort of think it’s actually Pace that holds the cards, which are probably something like: choose Burnley or Espanyol or ruin your career, Mike.

Was always going to be so, really, just even harder now.
Have to hope they throw them all in first game and look a bit dysfunctional, but can’t see them doing that.

By all accounts, Parker has been very pleased with Tresor's attitude and application. Given he was happy to say certain players didn't want to be here, I doubt he'd go to the trouble of publicly praising him if it wasn't true.

Mengi from Luton in talks with us. Central centre back, did well for them in the PL, but had a bad time with injuries since…
Interestingly, a poster on here said he was set to sign for us a month or so ago, but received a bad tackle against Southend in a friendly, and Luton players weren’t happy (son played for Southend or something).

After an international break with new signings is the perfect time to play them.
We’ll still probably lose but you never know.

That would mean Worrall out on loan/sold

We are told so little these days, one big variable is when Amdouni is back, if his ACL isn’t totally gone but is a grade 2 or something it is conceivable he could be back by Feb/Mar. These things are factors in what we do with a number 10, a stopgap or one for the season.
But in this window that is so much weird stuff going on. Big clubs shafted (Newcastle with Isak, Villa with Martinez yesterday), and big players shafted too (Guehi if Palace don’t sell, Martinez again with Villa now Man Utd have pulled out today).
It feels even more chaotic than normal and we just need to buckle up for the ride till 7pm cos I ain’t the foggiest.

The fact that he didn't make the bench on Saturday would suggest he isn't going to feature and will go out on loan.

Same here it must have been when Coyle was manager, but you managed longer than me.
I watched it for less than 10 minutes this morning, it was awful and as mentioned just regurgitating old news with false excitement.
I think its run its course and can't compete with social media, in fact some of the YT channels offer much more informative viewing hosted by people who actually care about what they are talking about.

We aren't the finished article yet, the pieces might be through the door, but they've yet to be put in place.
We need to give our players some slack, and the benefit of the doubt.
We have to reduce our squad, obviously, far too heavy, but we don't want to chuck the baby out with the bath water.
