Good draw and nice that many of the European sides got lower league. The only criticism for randomness, which a draw should have, is the fact they were the first eight ties. I'd change it to them being drawn home or away - as done pre-draw in this case - but also add in the tie number, i.e. balls with 1-16 so once the main draw starts then you know which game number they'd be.

Looks like we will be playing on the 23rd or 24th as Cardiff are playing Exeter in the football league trophy on the 16th so it won’t be that week.

mel - part of the draw is before the game and part afterwards.

You need a science degree to understand how it works but they draw the teams in Europe out before the game and also whether they will play home or away.

Then after the game the rest of us are drawn to join the nine teams in Europe.

Once that done the remaining teams are drawn out as per normal.

All games are televised in the League Cup but I don't think the main games have been selected yet.

We're playing week commencing 15th September, according to Sky. And we won't be on telly, according to me. They will pick (if they have 4 games) Sheff W v Grimsby, Wolves v Everton, Palace v Millwall, Barnsley v Brighton from our half of the draw. (That's a guess, not factual info.)
