Boxing

Post by bobinho » Sat Sep 13, 2025 10:34 pm

No thread for tonight’s big fight?

Love to read the boxing threads in here - plenty of knowledgeable folk when it comes to the noble art.

I know Bud is unbeaten, and a fabulous fighter, but I just can’t see past Canelo. It’s his natural weight and Bud is stepping up two classes.

Either way, two fabulous fighters together can’t be missed in a sport that’s become a bit of a farce over recent years.

It's at the Allegiant Stadium and I expect it to be absolutely rammed - there are so many private jets that have turned up, hundreds. It's way busier than when F1 is here. Canelo will win.

Bud Crawford is much more skilled at boxing and will have his moments but Canelo ( tainted with PEDs ) is a bit of a machine and will just keep going and grinding. I expect Canelo gets the nod with the judges in a controversial fashion again.

The blueprint to beat Canelo is the he can be outboxed.

Khan was handily outboxing him before he got caught same with BJS

Both generational fighters but that’s an unbelievable achievement from Crawford. P4P number 1 clearly.

Great win for Crawford in a very technical cagey fight , he clearly won though . This from a guy who only boxes once a year . I don’t see him fighting again but what a champ.

Crawford took the fight to Canelo in handy and very skillful bursts, throwing accurate and hurtful punches. Toward the end Canelo was getting more and more frustrated as he just couldn't handle him.
Were they to fight again Canelo would target the head more I reckon.

Great match up and brilliant from Crawford.
