Ange Postecoglu

Post by Milltown1882 » Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:42 pm

Lot of reports flying around in the nationals that he could get sacked if they lose to Newcastle at the weekend.

It would surprise me if it was anyone but that chairman but they deserve everything they get after the Nuno situation.

Will he beat Brian Clough for the shortest top flight permanent manager?

Surely Big Ange will get slightly longer with the Greek connection?

Read somewhere that they are mates? Got pally at a world cup or something. Could be Bo!!@ks of course...and probably won't make any difference.

I do think the Forest fans singing 'sacked in the morning' to their new gaffer after 6 games is proper tinpot entitled nonsense.
My good friend @mybloodisclaret, reckoned they were the 2nd weirdest set of fans after Coventry. He could be right...

I met a friend of a friend who's a Forest fan - incredibly strange. So he might be on to something. Leeds fans are obviously up there too.

I’ve lived in the area for some time and have friends who have never shown much interest in football who became “life long fans “ last season and over stretched Forest shirts were everywhere. That’s very much no longer the case.

It is abit OTT that said Nuno seems to be an hard act to follow. I don't think it's the defeats as much it's who the defeats have been against. Swansea Sunderland midtyjylland which is under APs watch & add to that a west ham a 3 nil away win completely unconnected to AP but a continuation & 2 draws it's been a poor haul from kicking on from last season's good achievements.

Ange deserves more time but the Chairman is a complete nut job so anything is possible

It would be a really bad move for Burnley if Forest were to sack cogy. I'd like to think them and Wolves are 2 of the 3 that will prove worse than us this season.

If the chairman wasn’t a nut job then Ange wouldn’t be there in the first place

He doesn’t deserve more time as he should be nowhere near a premier league job in the first place. When you’ve proved for a season and a half that you can’t do a job that should be enough to ensure you don’t get one. He’s quite clearly the worst of the twenty managers in the premier league by a good distance. I remember watching Spurs at home to Palace last season and they lost 2 - 0 and it really should have been 5 or 6 such was the space they gave Munoz and Eze etc.

Is it obligatory to refer to foreign managers by their forenames?

Yup. They were on his back from day one.

Tinpot fans and a tinpot owner.
