Recommendations for brickwork repointing

Post by Mala591 » Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:53 am

Hello
Can anyone recommend a builder/bricklayer who does brick repointing work? The recommendation might include a roofing company who also do repointing. I would like the work done before December and am willing to pay ‘a good price’ for the right person/company.
Thanks
UTC

It would help, if you posted the area you live in.

Your price should also include scaffolding if needed and the grinding out of the brickwork....which is a dirty & dusty job !

How much pointing do you need? Full house/chimney etc..
What type of pointing?
Is it normal brick or stone?

It will help with what type of company will take it on.

It’s the west facing side of the house and garage. It’s about 45 square metres of brickwork with easy access plus about 2 metres of a chimney stack (which probably needs rebuilding). Specification is: grinding out to 20 mm, high quality pointing plus waterproofing with ‘Storm Dry’.
