A really good read. Definitely has his head screwed on and it’s great to know that someone with his values is developing our young players.

I'll give this a read tomorrow but just seen this line near the top: "It doesn’t cost anything to have manners, to say hello and be kind to people off the pitch."

I know we are trying to produce footballers, but reading that is absolutely spot on for me. Those were the Dyche standards and I believe the Parker standards and Chris has been at the Sir Alex Ferguson Man Utd and they were his standards too.

Brilliant read, thanks for posting helmclatet.

Feel we’re super lucky to have Chris leading our Academy. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with it over the coming years.

Confirms the players getting taken from City and Liverpool but, as he says, that is a sign of how we’re developing. Hopefully we can put the money towards developing the Academy.

Ferguson didn't really practice what he preached though. Some of his behaviour towards journalists was a disgrace.
He wouldn't get away with some of the behaviour displayed towards his players either these days.

Or his harassment of match officials.

I saw Alex Ferguson on at least two occasions at Turf
Moor( once whan a scrawny 16 year old Ryan Wilson was on their left wing) accompanying the youth players. They were impeccably dressed in club blazer, ties fastened properly and extremely well behaved before, during and after the games. First teamers, Neil Webb and .Mike Phelan were there too on one occasion also dressed in club attire. Very impressed and it has stayed with me.

Anything but well behaved. Some of those kids in United blazers were jumping on seats and generally behaving quite badly. One Burnley supporter asked one of them if he’d behave like that at home and got an abusive response. Sir Alex was in the directors box and the Burnley supporter went and reported it. Ferguson asked him which player had abused him and said he would deal with it which I’m sure he did. That young abusive player was Darren Ferguson.
