John Lodge (The Moody Blues)
BBC News - Moody Blues singer John Lodge dies aged 82 - BBC News

I thought someone may have posted this by now.
The Moody Blues were one of my favourite band during my college days in the 70's and John Lodge imo was responsible for some of their classics, 'Ride My Seesaw, I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock 'n' Roll Band).
Sadly only Justin Hayward left of their enduring line up.

A guitarist I know is obsessed by 'War of the Worlds'- which is a bit weird, as he's only 30.
Some interesting stuff though on that album.

Didn’t Justin Hayward & John Lodge do an album together at some point. I’m sure I had it.

Re: John Lodge (The Moody Blues)
Really sorry to hear this. I was more a fan of their original RnB sound but I don’t believe there is any fan of music that doesn’t rate songs like Knights in White Satin and Cities. Like their contemporaries the Yardbirds success in the States led to their influence being somewhat sadly under-appreciated in Britain.

'Blue Jays' which was something of a play on their initials and their group connection.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Oct 11, 2025 11:04 amDidn’t Justin Hayward & John Lodge do an album together at some point. I’m sure I had it.

Re: John Lodge (The Moody Blues)
Really sad to hear this news yesterday. John Lodge was an intricate part of the Moodies. Their 'Days of Future Past' album was groundbreaking and paved the way for a further 6 albums that played a large part in my late adolescence/youth. Seen them loads of times over the intervening years and alas we are now down to one, Justin Hayward from the original still standing. 'Isn't Life Strange', John Lodge RIP.
