Off topic, but why isn't Cullen in the ROI squad this evening?
He's suspended.

Broja scores and assists for Albania.

A goal for Broja tonight just 3 minutes after coming on for the last 30, then an assist too, as morningbob says above.

Not the best opposition mind, and only a friendly. But he needs goals and confidence.

As I said at the start of this thread though, I would prefer Fleming due to him having had a break then a full week’s prep.

From what I have seen so far, if Broja is the answer I haven't a clue what the question is.
And you’ve worked out precisely nothing from the 42 minutes he’s played.

As have I, and as should have everyone else, but it doesn’t stop them totally writing him off.

I was hoping he’d get the same sort of time on the pitch and the fans cut him the same slack as they’ve cut LF, but I realise I’m going to be disappointed.

I have a gut feeling about this lad, I reckon he’ll do well here once settled.

Let's see how Broja gets on tonight
Came on as sub and nicked a goal after only 3 or 4 mins. Won’t do his confidence any harm.

Some of the negative comments about foster on here really make me uncomfortable. For chunks of this season he’s actually looked one of our better players and is actually unlucky not to have a few goals against his name.

Feels like some almost want him to struggle and get binned off.

Ditto those writing off Broja who has clearly clearly had some real injuries, and it was blatantly obvious very quickly, he was going to need a patient approach.

This squad was seconds away from points away at old Trafford, and at home to Liverpool. Feel like our fans would be a lot more positive about our team if we’d held on. I just hope those dropped points haven’t had such a negative effect on our players.

Bringing it back to the topic, I really hope Foster isn’t badly injured. I think he could still turn out to be an important player for us this season. Those hoping he is going to be out for a long period, aren’t proper Burnley fans… or at least aren’t people I’d want to acknowledge as fellow fans.

Just seen the clip of last night’s Broja goal and assist. The assist is well worth watching.

He appears to be a player who appears to lumber about then suddenly explodes into life with devastating power, skill and speed. I don’t think it is fitness, just his style.

Making me wonder if Saturday is his chance if Lyle is injured (best wishes to Lyle btw). A different option to Flemming who is a bit of a bulldozer.

Why is everyone forgetting that we have another young, exciting striker on the books

Seem to recall Barnes being given another 12 month contract this summer
Barnes should've been let go two years or so earlier than he was and should never have been re-signed. Seems a nice bloke though and can't begrudge him having one of the easiest jobs on the planet.

It depends on whether you think a dressing room signing is worth it, I suppose.

Not seen anything released on what this possible injury is, but there’s a clip of Foster walking on the pitch after SA qualified for the WC Finals, but hard to tell off it’s he’s limping or it’s just the au he’s walking whilst talking and looking at the camera

Fortunately this site is full of specialists who can diagnose anything from a second of watching a player walking.

Yes indeed. Humphreys was supposed to be out until October according to a prominent poster on here.

He played against Derby on 26th August.
