Was at Carrow Rd today and was delighted to see him come on. I must've been the only person in the home end who clapped him on!
Unfortunately, I think he has gone a bit soft. He came on to warm up at half time wearing a massive coat! He was the only one as well! Then, when he finally came he was wearing a base layer under his shirt! Very disappointing!!

Really, Barden lads were looked at like that? I doubt it, Barden is where lads went when there were no room in any other school

Ted's were the posh Catholics. Barden and Townley were the rough schools but think barden was sadly the roughest **** hole.
Sure the Ted's boys think their the bees knees living in their lovely detached homes

I went to Teds and we were by far and away the hardest, best looking and most fantastic footballers in Lancashire.Barden was our punch bag, Townley our chasing practice and Ivy Bank ...well one has to study anthropology at times and Burnley GS we cleaned our shoes on them

I went to Teds the only question when you played against the likes of Townley and Ivy Bank was how many you would win by and that was just the 'C' team!

I played footy for Ted's against Ivy Bank around 1974.Beat them 7-1. I got the first. Only ever scored one more in my entire life. I was known as Anthony Uttercrap at school. Anyway, after the game those Ivy Bank brutes gave me a good kicking in the dressing room. If anyone on this board remembers participating in this rather unsavoury event be warned, I have been looking for you around town for 40 years and you are going to get a right slap.

We (barden) beat ivy bank with Gareth seddon in the semi and lost to teds in the final 1 0 with Chris Scott. Unfortunately it was not played on the Turf that year .

How old are you if you played football with Jay ( 26/27 ish ) on Queen Vic park and played with Seddon 35 ish if you don't mind me asking?
I also went Hesandford but am a bit older than Jay.

Slight change of topic but are the prematch clips going to have to change for Saturday? Surely showing Jay up on the big screen as a hero is not really the thing to do.

I believe they are pixelating Liam Robinsons face over Jays so won't be a problem.
