Use of season ticket cards for cup replay
Hopefully the club will be able to use the facility of adding entry for season ticket card holders who wish to purchase admission to the cup replay game, rather than having to buy a separate paper ticket.

It would be nice if the club allowed season ticket holders on for free as a one off gesture of goodwill

FA rules don't permit that, and if they did we would also have to let Sunderland season ticket holders in for free.Claret Till I Die wrote:It would be nice if the club allowed season ticket holders on for free as a one off gesture of goodwill
In answer to OP, adding on to cards is subject to stadium availibility, i.e. all the ground being open and season tickets holders able to buy their own seats. With a four figure crowd likely I would think they will close some areas.

You think we will have less than 10k on? Im not doubting you but I would have hoped for 12-13k for this game....Perhaps if the draw pulls out a tasty tie, this may affect it..ClaretTony wrote:FA rules don't permit that, and if they did we would also have to let Sunderland season ticket holders in for free.

I don't think whoever we potentially play in the next round will affect the gate for the replay.... unless there's some kind of system in place for non-season ticket holders to get priority for a ticket for the potential 4th round game if they have purchased a ticket for the 3rd round replay.clarethomer wrote:You think we will have less than 10k on? Re: Use of season ticket cards for cup replay
We have to give Sunderland all of the Cricket Field Stand for this game as we are to allow visiting supporters a higher percentage for FA cup games, not that they will sell that many going off the attendance they got yesterday
But it would be sensible to perhaps close the lower sections of the stands that still allows around 12 thousand home fans and be very surprised if we topped that.
Sunderland will bring about the same as we took there but might surpass that probably get around the 14 thousand mark or there about for this replay.

Re: Use of season ticket cards for cup replay
Whatever happens, I'm changing my seat from the Longside upper to the Lord Bob for this one. I always sit in the Lord Bob for at least one match a season. This one will be it.
Re: Use of season ticket cards for cup replay
Wonder what would happen if we went through and drew a big side/away crowd at home, we would need to give them 15% of the stadium.
I know the CFS is segregated by a big steel barrier, but it only has a door in, cant see them allowing large numbers of fans to pass through it, it would be an accident waiting to happen. they would have to go round the Longside way.
If it was a tasty fixture could possibly cause BFC, Police and stewards a head ache.

I note that all sections of the stadium will be open, so I wonder why season ticket holders didn't have the option of adding the game to their cards?ClaretTony wrote:

I've a meeting next week and it is a question I'll be asking.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:I note that all sections of the stadium will be open, so I wonder why season ticket holders didn't have the option of adding the game to their cards?

Re: Use of season ticket cards for cup replay
I've just found this on the club's website:
http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/news ... 19369.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Any Capital One Cup or FA Cup matches which you purchase during the season will also be uploaded onto your SeasonCard if you keep the same seat, and allow you access to Turf Moor for these additional matches you purchase.

Very strange. There seems to be several things that " will make things better" or " make things easier" when first thought of, but in truth do nothing to support the claims when the time arises.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:I note that all sections of the stadium will be open, so I wonder why season ticket holders didn't have the option of adding the game to their cards?

The new outdoor ticket office , albeit with canopy now added, should be interesting on match night.
