I'm still not sure a goal and a hatrick against two championship sides in the Prem proves he's a top flight striker, jury still very much out for me.
Not saying he's not learning and improving though, already equaled Vardy's 1st season.

He's far more likely to get game time with us though and he's got a lot more forgiving fan base & manager here due to last season's record. Unless he suddenly became a 15+ goal a season striker he'd see plenty of the bench with Carroll, Sakho and who ever else they could get in around.

You're correct that he isn't a proven Premier League striker. If he was 25, lightening fast, and a goalscoring record like Harry Kane, he'd be worth the same as Harry Kane. But just because he isn't doesn't mean that he's worth barely more than he was worth two years ago.

He plays well for Burnley so that's what I'll judge him on. I judged Andy Payton the same way. What he does in his private life is up to him and so far, bar historic tweets, he's been a good lad. SD has praised his character and he sees him everyday.

He's also got that scar on his face as a reminder and one of the reasons why he knuckled down.

He didn't kick up any fuss during his ban, he took it on the chin, waited for it to be over and sat on the bench waiting for his chance again.

If he was a so called gangsta as you're claiming he would've been a bigger dick about it all.

He's now playing in the PL and that's down to hard work, not running around being gangsta.
