Any more dinosaurs out there?
Is it just me or do other people dread upgrading their phones. If you go for something different you need time to sit down and set the phone up the way you like it. Time is something I always seem short of whilst I'm meetingt myself coming back. So frustrating. Stop the ride I want to get off!

I love upgrading my phone.
Enjoy how much faster and better it does everything before you inevitably clog it up

Ha ha you don't know you're born pal. When I was a lad you had to write down every contact and manually input it into the new phone
''twas a full evening with of a job!! Now with iPhone/ iCloud it's all done for you. My recent swap over took 15 mins

It's like getting a bigger new desk because your old desk was too small for all the papers and **** you had on it. A bigger desk means more **** to clutter it up.
Re: Any more dinosaurs out there?
I recently upgraded my private mobile to an i-phone and made the mistake of using the apple id for my work phone. This means that I ended up with a clone of my work phone with work emails and everything. I had to set my work phone back to factory settings and set up a new apple id using my work email address. Took about 3 hours in total.
In light of this I reckon there is a gap in the market for hiring out 5 year olds. When you get a new phone, lap top, tablet or what ever just contact 5 Year Olds R Us who wiil then will send round an ankle biter to do all the set up work for you. You just keep it fed on chicken nuggets and send it back when the set up is complete.

I wish I had an apple, then I too could be smug, talk **** about stuff I have no idea about and feel good about myself and all the money I've just blown on an overpriced piece of tech. Still I suppose that's what being 14 is all aboutJoe14 wrote:I've heard Android is still in the dark ages!! So behind the times

Re: Any more dinosaurs out there?
Looking to upgrade my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 7 only really for the camera and improved video option
I managed to find the bill when I bought the iPhone 4 (32G) in 2010 it was £329. Its six years old now so I reckon I must be a dinosaur.
iPhone 7 min spec is 128Gb £699 for the phone
Curry's have Apple 10% deals on in Jan but they don't include iPhones
Anyone know of any decent deals on iPhone 7's?

I'd suggest considering moving from Apple.
You can get an equal spec phone of any other make for far cheaper, and Apple are no longer the trailblazing firm they once were.

When I was a lad you had to actually dial numbers on a telephone attached to your house.
Stupidly they put the number 9 near the end so it took an age to telephone the emergency services.
Invariably people were already dead by the time you got to the 3rd 9.
And that's why the life expectancy has gone up in this country.

My smartphone thinks Heston and Meet are top players.
Prior to that it loved Danny Kings.

Re: Any more dinosaurs out there?
I don't really tend to worry too much about what phone I've got, I have a tendency to break them due to being a clumsy sod.
I've never had an iPhone though, nor do I want one.

Re: Any more dinosaurs out there?
I have an old-style flip-phone. can make calls, send texts, ... and it's a camera! does what i need, but gets some strange looks and head-shakes from friends and colleagues. Mind you, I used a Sony Walkman for about a decade longer than most people. ...
Oh and we still have an ancient rotary dial phone hanging on the wall -- it works as the ringer when someone pushes the outside door bell at our apartment building, love it
