Re: Chris Eagles
Eagles was like having a **** without cumming.
Good, but disappointing and lacking an end product.

Re: Chris Eagles
I suspect there is something unreported that has halted his development. He was a decent player when he left us. I admire his desire to carry on playing because its obviously not worked out at the likes of Blackpool, Bury or Accy.
I hope he has a bit of an Indian Summer somewhere and establish himself professionally again.

Didn't he lose a child? Or something? Or am I imagining that?

Re: Chris Eagles
I have largely good memories of his time with us. 11 league goals in the 2010/11 season. Shame to see where he is now.

He's since set up a charity for this cause

Re: Chris Eagles
He was excellent in his final season with us. He finally looked like a player capable of putting in good performances consistently. He started well at Bolton too, then something happened and he just seemed to stop playing overnight. Very odd.
I've nothing but kind words to say about him and all the team that brought us our first promotion to the PL. I hope he's a success at Port Vale.

Re: Chris Eagles
A real enigma. Sometimes completely unplayable, at others he looked like he'd never played football before.
Re: Chris Eagles
I remember West Ham away he was on fire and we could have won that game given another 10 minutes. I wish him well and miss the song about his hair and my wife

Re: Chris Eagles
Was anyone there when we beat Derby 4-2 away in April 2011 ?
He was absolutely outstanding that day.
Good luck Chris.

I hope he does well at Vale Park and gets a contract extension, but ... I bet he doesn't.

Wish him well.
Re: Chris Eagles
I agree - he could be a class act. He has probably had to fight this issue throughout his career and deserves some praise for what he has achieved. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/ne ... 7.display/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;claptrappers_union wrote:I suspect there is something unreported that has halted his development. Certainly wasn't lacking end product away at Sheff Utd or Coventry.ClaretAndJew wrote:Eagles was like having a **** without cumming.
