Surely he doesn't want to go back to Marseille, I've no idea who else is linked with him.

I don't see how they can keep him now. Saying they won't sell surely just means they want a big fee for him.

With some unrest they may well get dragged down into a relegation battle

Apparently he wanted to leave in the summer, but West Ham persuaded him to stay by telling him they were going to sign some quality players to play with him.

They signed Zaza so now he wants to leave.

They looked dire and clueless against Citeh without Payet and Noble. If the latter were to get injured they could well be dragged down into the dogfight. They seemed to have signed a busload of expensive but not very good foreigners.

Who did they sign who was expensive? They loaned Zaza, got Feghouli on a free transfer, loaned Tore. Nordveit free transfer, Calleri loan, Arbeloa free transfer, Small fees on Masuaku and Fernandes. The only expensive player they bought in the summer was Andre Ayew from Swansea.

So they will pay him to sit on the bench? Without him I think they would still survive the drop but they could completely melt down.

Isn't it sad that a player spitting out his dummy is barely news these days. Why sign a long contract if you are unsure you want to stay.... want your cake and to eat it too. Spoilt children.

Fair point. However I think you might find that there costs associated with the transfer and employment of footballers apart from transfer fees.

Player-Power !

What a joke. Put him in the reserves and make sure he stays on the bench the whole game !

He'll be wanting to wear gloves and a beanie hat during games next ;)

What is an expensive footballer? one that costs a lot? considering non of us know what agent fees or wages the players are earning the obvious presumption would be that you meant transfer fees. Unless you are completely speculating on wages/clauses in loan deals (% of wage West Ham pay etc)

I feel for Bilic here. He seems like a manager who puts everything into the job and actually cares about the club and its fans. Beening let down by his most important player most be kick in the nads.

But its West Ham
So I dont care

F**k him, I hope West Ham stay strong and teach him a lesson. Quite sad how players seem to throw out the toys and get what they want instantly. He's certainly talented, had 1 great season last year now thinks he's Mr Big b*ll*cks. (I know he was good for Marseille and near the top of the assist chart in Europe before joining West Ham but that means nothing when you're playing in Ligue 1)

It must be one of the clubs that doesn't tell you their transfer targets.

Couldn't agree more Ralph. Personally I'd go further and suspend him without pay since he's effectively refusing to do his job. Wouldn't get away with that in any other form of employment!!!

From Wiki "On 28 August 2016, West Ham United announced that they had loaned Zaza for a €5 million loan fee, with a €20 million permanent obligation to buy fee after a certain number of Premier League appearances, plus €3 million in bonus"

You can look up the rest if you want.

They don't have to pay the 20 million, they purposely haven't played him so they don't activate that clause. £4M (loan fee) isn't expensive for a PL player these days.

Reckon he'll not leave the Premiership...there will be a number of clubs interested. West Ham's summer recruitment seemed to be more about quantity than quality...I guess they were preparing for European football.

The world revolves around Dimitri Payet.

He's done this before (when at St. Etienne).

The difference re. Marseille is that when they sold him they were broke. But they were recently taken over and as he was popular down there, the new owners are keen to get some Brownie points by signing him.

Infantino, instead of meddling with the World Cup, should be working on introducing rules preventing ego-centric players like Payet from being transferred if they refuse to play.

're relegation yes please. The unholy trio of management deserve all they get. They had an average gate of 24,000 yet decided to blag a move to the Olympic stadium. They are London's fourth club behind Chelsea Arsenal and Spuds.Slightly above Fulham.

The horrible cockney gits are only better than Millwall by a couple of quid. Wouldn't break my heart to see venkys in charge of either club.

Based on their valuations of Defoe and Snodgrass we should put in a £4m bid.

Hes vowed to carry on feigning injury if he's forced to play, or at least feign it before he gets on the pitch instead of when a player is near him
