We've another former ex-Claret and one of our own (who has also played for Southampton) visiting today, although I'm not so sure he looks like this any more.

Wasn't long after that when Chappy lost his hair. The pic is, I think, from his debut in April 2003 and he'd gone bald by the time he came back for pre-season that year.

Didn't he move to some American club?
EDIT- Yep, Wikipedia say he's playing in California. Lucky!

He was a very good player for us who moved on at just the right time when it suited both parties. He believed he could play at a much higher standard and we needed the cash. Ultimately he didn't really cut it at the higher levels and was on the fringe to some extent, but probably made a few bob. Always gave his all imo.

Know his dad well,(used to live in the same street as me when we were young) and my wife taught Richard at secondary school. Saw his dad on Wednesday night at a pub quiz and I assumed Richard had returned to California. An avid Claret, he will be torn today.
