That IS brilliant. Never seen that before. I was right behind the goals on the Bee Hole. Bloody packed. 36,000 I believe! Casper scored the (deflected) winner right in front of us in the second half. That film is only the first half.

I was swaying about in the Longside!
Wrexham did bring one or two with them that day.

I was in the Longside too, being carried by the crowd. There were loads of Wrexham fans in the Bee Hole.

Yes, the Wrexham lot congregated up towards the back of the Bee hole and we were in front where it was mainly Burnely. We kept looking round a bit nervously, especially after the goal. No proper segregation then either.

Someone will be in trouble now if Bob Lord finds out they sneaked a camera into the ground

Longside myself and I was not a small kid at 13, but remember it was packed and feet hardly touched the ground, absolutely loved it, Long, Long, Longsiders. UTC

The Bee Hole end looks packed. I think there was over 30,000 in attendance that day.

Great day that was , little did I know at the time ,it would result in the worst feeling I've ever had at losing a game .

Shades of 5th round 1962 between us and Everton when both sides wore their'away' kit at the Turf.

We get the ball in the net 2nd half at 1.41 and 1.47.Dark Cloud wrote:That IS brilliant. Never seen that before. I was right behind the goals on the Bee Hole. Bloody packed. 36,000 I believe! First one only shows the ball going over keepers head and second wasn't the goal so must have been disallowed.

Re: Film footage of Burnley v Wrexham, FA Cup 1974
My mistake, we DO see a few fleeting moments of second half action although the quality of picture is much worse and I THINK the ball looping over the keeper's head on 1.36 may well be Casper's deflected winner. It definitely went in a lot like that if my memory (I was 16) serves me properly. I was right behind it at the time on the day.minnieclaret wrote:We get the ball in the net 2nd half at 1.41 and 1.47.

So Wrexham come out the tunnel wearing their recognisable red shirts and white shorts all the way up to the coin toss... but just as they kick off they are wearing all white?

19,000 Wrexham fans in the Turf according to the person who uploaded it with 600,000 locked outside.

I think they brought 12,000, most of whom were in the Bee Hole End.Goody1975 wrote:19,000 Wrexham fans in the Turf according to the person who uploaded it with 600,000 locked outside.
