I just hope he's given loyalty by the club and given time to recover and given a chance in the team when he's back. It would be pretty shitty for his Burnley career to end like this.

this is the news I feared I would wake up to. Gutted for Deano, gutted for the team as he was integral. Good luck to him in his recovery :(

So gutted for him and the club, gives his all for the cause and it was maybe a game too far IF he had an ongoing niggle.

Wishing Dean a full recovery.

Not my favourite player but certainly has been at the heart of the great journey the side have made under SD.
A sickening injury and hopefully he'll be back vying for a place next season.

Awful news. Best wishes to Dean on a very speedy recovery and fall stop this player epitomises the managers work ethic and demands on the football field. Without him around, we are a weeker unit. Without question, a superb signing by former manager, Brian laws

Heres hoping that the cover for Deano is more appropriate than the last time he was out two seasons ago. We simply fell apart without him. Easily one of our most influential and consistent performers in a Claret shirt of the last 10 or 15 years. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery Deano, thankyou for everything.

He's under contract until the end of next season in any case, but I'm certain the club would have extended it had it been running out this year.

Terrible news for the player and he will know about all the anguish having recently been through it during the last time we played in the Premier League. I always remember that Dean signed an extended contract when did not look quite as secure at the club.

Hope you have a speedy revovery
Let's hope the lads can continue with current form and when you return were in as strong a position as when you got injured

I had a horrible feeling that something like this was going to happen to Marney. Ever since playing (on) with his niggling injury/nerve damage, he has, in an attempt to make up for his lessened mobility, either been been diving in, making `rash` challenges OR overstretching to get to a ball. We needed an extra body in midfield before this terrible news, now it is a necessity. Let`s hope Marney can make a good enough recovery to feature in the Premier League (for us) late this year.

As someone said earlier if anyone has the determination to overcome another cruciate it's Deano.

I'm sure we'll see him back in a Burnley shirt again.

Means we can re-sign Marvin Bartley now!
Seriously though, best wishes to Dean and a speedy recovery

Not good news.

I hope dean comes through this and gets himself back playing for us. Would hate to see his Burnley career end like this.

Sickener, if Marney plays his last claret game I want him subbed in stoppage time to a standing ovation from four sides of the stadium, like Dion Dublin got. Unfortunately with Marneys ongoing injuries and determination to play through the pain barrier we've ended up with this. :(

I wish you a full recovery Deano and hopefully we'll see you back on the field at some point where we can show our appreciation.
