Season Ticket renewal

Post by dougcollins » Sat Feb 11, 2017 8:37 pm

Hoping to renew my tickets tomorrow.

Before I attempt it, does anyone know of any recently imposed but unpublicised irrational rules - like the one last year which prevented us from renewing after 12:00 on a 15:00 kick off?

Just one new strange rule this year - you can only renew if you are dressed in full Blackburn kit (and the small print says boots and shinnies aswell).

Was at the ticket office on Weds and I'm sure there was a sign saying there were unable to process ST renewals on match days.

Oh marvellous.

So are they going to tell me which other day of the week I can make the 120 mile round trip?

I know that some will probably be quick to defend the club on this one, but in my opinion, not being able to process renewals on match days is pathetic. Conference clubs will be able to process renewals on match days yet we can't. The ticket office is tin pot.

I've been complaining for years about their treatment of out of town supporters. We used to do a 300 mile round trip to home games, we moved to Blackpool but it's still 90 miles. That's OK to get to matches but not just to buy a ticket.

If you renew over the phone as I did,be prepared to be charged an extra £1.60 for the privilege.
Plus the cost of the call, peanuts I know but all little extra costs.
However cannot complain my ticket as an OAP is £238 to watch our wonderful team.

The reason for not being able to renew season tickets on match days should be obvious.
Renewing season tickets and buying any ticket is simple and takes a couple of minutes on line.
Don't see the problem.

Just do it online - takes a matter of a couple of mins at most or you can post it in.

What about people who don't have Internet access?

Also, I'm not aware of the 'obvious reason' why people aren't able to renew season tickets on match days? You've even said yourself in your next sentence that renewing season tickets (and buying any ticket) is simple.

I'd assume people posting on here might have internet access. For people who don't they can renew by phone, by post or by going to the ticket office on a non-match day.

Why they can't renew in person on match days? Because the ticket office has match day to deal with.

If it's such an inconvenience, move closer.
