Re: Boyd article from the independent
Seems nearly every player interviewed says similar so it obviously works for us. A good interview and nice to read Sean has them on their toes all the time, no 'Big Time Charlie's' at the Turf thank you very much!

Ha ha I know. Can you imagine players from the 'top clubs' talking a bath in the Calder as a forfeit? Might improve some of them.

You wouldn't get Leaping Laws in the Caldwell. It's in his range

Doesn't sound like a player who hasn't been given a new deal does it.

Love Boyd, yet another player who has bought into the ethos and now preaches it too. Stay up or not I hope he signs as he's a good squad player and sounds like a good bloke in t he dressing room too

Will no doubt be a queue of teams who will be in line to snap him up if he does leave at end of season.Claretmatt4 wrote:Love Boyd, yet another player who has bought into the ethos and now preaches it too. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a move more money than he's on now to one of the top Champ sides.

Met him earlier this year at the joshua fight. Proper sound down to earth lad. Not at all what youd expect of a premier league footballer.Claretmatt4 wrote:Love Boyd, yet another player who has bought into the ethos and now preaches it too. This ...
“I don’t really understand. It is not a grind – you are playing football a couple of times, three times a week. The Championship is a much bigger slog than the Premier League. We’ve played Championship football most of our lives so we are used to Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday. This is like a rest for us, Saturday-Saturday.”

Nice article, always felt Boyd could be an even better player if played to his strengths but has adapted for the sake of the system. Indeed has more flair than we often get to see.

I've met of few of our players "off duty" and none of them would be what youd expect of a premier league footballercricketfieldclarets wrote:Met him earlier this year at the joshua fight. Proper sound down to earth lad. Not at all what youd expect of a premier league footballer.

Re: Boyd article from the independent
I know that Boyd George wouldn't be the first player that fan's or neutrals mention but he's had an important and consistent season. I thought he'd be one of the players to struggle this campaign but especially in the home games he's been fine.

Re: Boyd article from the independent
I think that he is another one of those players that you would only really miss once he wasn't playing. Its not just a lot of running he does, he tracks back, hassles people and then gets forward in support again. Key to us in so many matches In the last couple of seasons.
