I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you're looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money... but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that will be the end of it - I will not look for you, I will not pursue you... but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you... and I will kill you.

Smart bit of business in an area that needed strengthening. Welcome Ashley.
So finally we got something from Henri via the ripple effect.

I'm happy we've got Westwood in.
I think he can do a decent job for us and hopefully will respond well to the new challenge.
We needed cover in midfield so at least we've got that one sorted.
Welcome to Burnley Ashley and good luck.

Welcome Ashley! Good value signing, covering a key area with premier league experience. Well done Dyche and the board, now let's get a couple more in.

The facts are spot on - the island of Great Britain is the largest landmass of the more than 6000 islands that comprise the British Isles and is shared by parts of England, Wales And Scotland. The island of Ireland is just another landmass in the British Isles

He comes from a toxic atmosphere at one club, to one where everybody's divided before he even kicks a ball.
So, er, welcome to Turf Moor Ashley..

What were you watching?
Was virtually anonymous, made about 2 good passes and almost cost a goal with a horrendous cross field ball. His professional foul did thwart it though.

That pass was bad but jesus Christ, anonymous? They didn't get a shot on target for 88 minutes ffs. You don't do that to the best team in the league with an anonymous CM

Could have been a goal when he failed with the pass, but I thought as his first full game for us against the best team in the country at the moment he did really well, also mention Barton and Barnes who I thought were brilliant all game, they let nobody rest

brilliant.

A very important part of a very good team performance.

If you think it was a great performance then you know nothing about football. He was anonymous, done virtually nothing of note and was rarely involved in anything.

In a two man midfield and up against Matic and Kante with Hazard, Pedro and Costa dropping in whenever needed.
And yet the anonymous Westwood was part of a team that restricted the Champions elect to 2 shots on target all game.
I'd suggest you should look again because the odd poor pass aside he was far from anonymous. If you thought he was anonymous, it would seem that it's you that knows nothing about football. Of course you're entitled to your opinion though.

He was tidy and mobile alongside Barton, he tired a bit and got sloppy near the end, took a yellow for his own gaff.
He fitted in well against Chelsea were we got a result. I'm staggered at how good we're getting.

I don't care if he is from Zarg did a sterling job for us today. Kept his discipline and showed he is a far more capable player than Villa fans wanted us to believe.

He was outstanding today. As was barton. Two players too **** for their previous clubs able to operate in a midfield 2 against the best side in the league bar none. Right winger? More like right berk!

At this rate I'm surprised he hasn't had an England call up considering he's supposedly soo good.
There was one player in our midfield who stood out today and it wasn't Westwood.

Give over. No-one's calling for a cap but to claim he was anonymous is just idiotic. All our midfield played well.
2 good passes my arse.

I don't know what game you were watching. The Burnley midfield did an incredible job today. They were playing one of the best attacking midfields in the world today and they didn't get a sniff of goal.... that takes more than one player.

Excellent performance. Did exactly what he was brought here to do, break up, disrupt, hassle,. Younger Dean marney with fabulous engine. Anybody who thought he was poor knows nothing about the make up of a football team and the different roles and responsibilities within it. Let's also not forget, this pass that nearly led to a goal for Chelsea, if it had have got through could have led to one for us as Lowton I think it was, was in absolute acres of space down the right. Glass half full for me on an excellent debut
