It doesn't work like that I'm sure you know it. That's far more complicated than just writing a cheque.

Perhaps they are doing what they did to get rid of Pearson. Be in a hopelhopeless position, whisper in the owners eat and do the deal...we'll stay up and you get rid of the manager at the end of the season".

Why? Have many of them gone bankrupt because they weren't paid, just as quite a number in Portsmouth and other places did?

I have no idea. But I know plenty that have closed or changed hands for non LCFC related reasons. The club is a company and it's a different company owned by different people. You can't just randomly send cheques out to companies that may or may not exist, or to people that aren't the ones that lost it. It just doesn't happen anywhere.

Best thing the club can do is continue to give back to the community in many different ways. Yeah people will sneer and say it's just tax right offs, but it's their money. They could do it in their own country, but they chose to do it here.

The children's hospital is just one example. Plenty more of people trying to raise money for other things and the owners just writing cheques for the full amount. A dad wanted to raise 24k from biking to every away game (1k a game) to pay for sons treatment... owners heard about it and he had a cheque waiting for him at his seat for the full 24 k when he arrived after his first ride.

They are really good people.
