Let's hope it wasn't a late one with the after party and all that. Biggest game of the season on Saturday.

Maybe an extra few hours control and shooting practice would have been more beneficial.

Maybe we all have a life outside the 9 to 5 and hes entitled to do what he wants. His mrs was presumably performing or up for awards. Not my cup of tea (celebs) but id rather we allowed our players to have a normal (relatively speaking) life than dictate how they live.

No one bats an eyelid when they and their "job" is going well, when it's not on the other hand, people will ask questions.

Wether that's right or wrong is up for debate, but it would be nice to see, hear or read about him doing extra out of hours sessions, to get better than what he has served up on his last few displays particularly at home.

So he was perceived to have had a difficult afternoon against Lincoln - seems Chelsea is quickly forgotten.

No think he was just as poor against Chelsea, Watford, Leicester and Bristol C.

In fact highlighting his good games I have seen would be far easier... Sunderland and even then he got more than an helping hand.

Tin hat with built in ear defenders and spit shield firmly on.

Lincoln aside, Andre's been getting back to his best recently. He seems happy with his 'home' life and who wouldn't be. All I noticed from that Brits pic was the diet Coke in front of him. Good lad.

No point obsessing about his first touch, it's not his strength. Some people would go and watch Barcelona and report back that Messi doesn't win enough in the air.

And anyway am sure they are allowed a drink 4 days before a match...Back in the day some players had a drink 4 hours before a match .lol

Watching matches on TV, one of the things the commentators nearly always mention is how difficult Gray is making it for the defenders. Whether that's because they're ex-pros with an appreciation for the game or because Gray is one of our more well-known players and it's an easy thing to say is obviously up to the individual to decide.

The Chelsea game will stay in my mind for a long time but in all honesty I didn't personally think Gray had a good game. I think he looks better paired with Barnes but he still has a lot to prove to convince me he is PL class.

Our support ripping Andre to bits for his performance's on the pitch, now they are getting into his ribs for having a night out....take a day off some of ya !....without this guy's goals last season we would be planning trips to The City Ground and Ewood ...not Old Trafford and The Emirates

Little Mix won Best British Single for 'Shout Out to My Ex.'

Based on email that has just arrived in my inbox. My "friends and family" will know I've no idea who "little mix" are - and wouldn't recognise the single if it was playing all day on my iPod.

Good luck to Andre, Right to be there to celebrate with his partner. Right to be thinking about his preparations for Saturday. I'm sure a happy social life can help with a successful sporting life.

Too true Paul. Anyway, if he has stepped out of line he could well be sat in the Calder on Friday, that is quite a sobering thought!

Can't believe he was in training around 9pm last night.

Just think how the shooting into an empty net in the dark last night would have had him buzzing come Saturday.

Hi Ashington, re the "which school" thread, you might remember my (late) father - he was a teacher at Accy Grammar until 1965. I went with him on a few Saturday mornings to watch some of the football teams.

People slating Andre Gray for attending his partners award ceremony is a bit pathetic.

Also Andre does having extra striking sessions from the coach on soccer AM.

I hope he scores a hat trick on Saturday to bring some fans back on board.

I heard that also.

But suppose it's why he is on soccer AM and not at a top club as a finishing coach.

Yes, W.W - history. He loved his football - definitely a lot better player than I was.

I'll happily take the "nice bloke" compliment.

I took him on t'Turf about 10 years ago - we were high up in the JHU (having switched from JHL because of bad weather). His mobility was a "bit limited" by then - all the "usual" old age stuff. There were a large group of fans who helped him back down the steps after the game.

I went on an Accy grammar school trip summer 1965 - Annecy and Paris. It's a long time ago and I'd struggle to remember many names.

I left in 1964 after my mum had a heart attack and had to finish work, I was in the first year 6th and hoping to go to Uni -- I ended up working in a bank for a couple of years before joining the RAF.

My Dad was an electrician in RAF during the war - served a large part of the time in India and then Singapore once the war was over. He said he became a teacher because you could come home a year earlier, 1947 rather than 48, I believe.

I like Gray, I think he's good. Okay, sometimes his touch lets him down, other times his subtle touches open up chances for others and if we play to his strengths he will score.
I remember other forwards struggling, Ings had a few dry spells and we aren't exactly blessed with goal scorers, so I'm hoping his luck changes and the goals start again, starting with Hull! UTC
