He played 70 minutes, surely he can at least be put on the bench in case we really need him? Say we are trailing a goal with ten minutes left.

We've got to get used to what Sean means:KefkaClaret wrote:He played 70 minutes, surely he can at least be put on the bench in case we really need him? Say we are trailing a goal with ten minutes left.
"touch and go" = I'll let Sunderland know when the team is announced on Saturday...
"70 minutes isn't a full game" = but, we only ever ask Steven to play for 70 minutes, that's all we need....

Was JBG's injury record this bad at Charlton? He's missed a lot of games

Defour should be good to make the bench at least and affect the game if needed.
Would prefer him to start with Barton of course, but no need to rush matters

I am not sure about JBGs injury record at Charlton and what niggles he may or may not have had. It is pretty fair to say though his current injury was caused by an extremely dangerous challengeJohnDearyMe wrote:Was JBG's injury record this bad at Charlton? He's missed a lot of games

He played in more than 40 games in each of his two seasons at Charlton so it looks like more a case of bad luck than being injury-prone.

JBG's injury was caused by the same Lincoln player who tried to 'do' Sanchez last week, but he missed !!
