Yeah it's Frances main Arabic news site man. There was exactly the same type of reaction on Al jazz tooImploding Turtle wrote:For all we know it might be a stream belonging to wwx.killtheinfidels.boom, or whatever. The point is there's no reason to think that image is representative of anything except a bunch of people who can read arabic text who like it when westerners die. There is no context whatsoever. It's even worse than me trying to say that ~40 of Daily Mail comments readers upvoting a deplorable comment is representative of people who can read English, or just representative of Brits, or Americans.
The only reason anyone can have for sharing that image without providing any kind of context is to gin up hatred and to make racist bigots angry.
I expect when we find out where that picture comes from we'll understand more about why all so many seem to find yesterday's attack funny. I bet it's an extremist source.
EDIT: Oh for **** sake. Apparently it's a mainstream Arabic news site.

Unfortunately not much different than previous decades. As well as the IRA there was/is ETA and the Baader-Meinhof Group in German in the 70's and 80's.

Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns London terrorist attack

http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2017/03/2 ... ror-attack" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"Iran has condemned the recent deadly terror attack in London, calling for the formation of a true international coalition against terrorists to replace the current “theatrical” ones.
On Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi expressed Iran’s sympathy with the families of the victims as well as those injured in the brutal car-ramming and stabbing attack outside the UK Parliament in London.
Qassemi further emphasized the need for the formation of an all-inclusive global alliance aimed at “sincerely” fighting terrorism free from “double standards.”
He further warned, “No country can consider itself immune from terrorism and terrorists as long as we witness the [establishment of] inefficient and theatrical coalitions at international and regional levels to fight terror as well as the double standards being pursued by the Western countries in countering this heinous and inhumane phenomenon.”
“Today, terrorism knows no borders,” said the Iranian official. “In order to uproot this evil and odious phenomenon, the channels for sending arms and equipment to the terrorists should be cut and the financial and moral support for the countries and groups disseminating terrorist ideas should be stopped.”......"

All i want to know is, Why is UK, Europe and US not forcing Saudi to arrest those clerics who promoted these Ideologies of Terrorism? Why are they referring to these terrorist as "Islamic State" when in reality they are "Wahabi State". Why are they insulting Muslims who are actually victims of Terrorism. --- NOTE - UK and US are actually supplying weapons to Saudi, who in turn are committing worst crimes in Yemen.
Put your hands on your heart and ask your self, Who are SUFFERING WORST PAINS? The people in Europe and Britain OR the People in Yemen, who are victims of US and British weapons.
Saudis (with its Wahabi/salafi idealogy) are responsible for millions killed in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Britain and US support them. Under the circumstance, Their claim to fight Terrorism are just crocodile tears.

Much as I abhor Isil and it's ilk, I'm wondering if listening to Londoners going all " maybe it's because I'm a Londoner" " best city in the world" " We look after our own" nauseous pigswill is nearly as bad as the outrages themselves

This forum was good when it first started. As I said earlier, there were plenty of terrorist attacks in the 70's and 80's. What we are seeing now is nothing new. I think the streets of the UK are far safer now than they were 30 years ago.SussexDon1inIreland wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_I ... st_attacks

Please provide links to these quotes that do not simply stem from your own bitterness toward the South East.lakesclaret wrote:Much as I abhor Isil and it's ilk, I'm wondering if listening to Londoners going all " maybe it's because I'm a Londoner" " best city in the world" " We look after our own" nauseous pigswill is nearly as bad as the outrages themselves
Mention the Blitz though and I'm sure you'd be waving your Union Jack singing Rule Britannia whilst wearing a paper hat made from a folded Daily Mail.
Is your own inadequacy so strong that you have to pick out the natural unity and solidarity that follows terrorist attack to make yourself feel better?
I suppose you wish it had happened in Burnley because that would mean we were a big town with a big club. Pathetic.
