Has he posted it?
If the Action Group sell a few more stickers they can probably afford to buy the stamps for him.

Re: A letter to the Venky's
Hahaha, yeah, I've heard that story of how they packed the away part of the Longside(fair enough), had the entire Cricket Field Stand (must have kicked the Burnley season ticket holders out and not let any more in), and then had over half of the Bee Hole End(without anyone knowing), claiming they brought 15,000, yet averaged 8,600 at home that season.Holmeclaret wrote:Hilarious indeed. Actually, if you just remove the "R" and change the tense from past to present, I reckon he's got it spot on!!!JohnMcGreal wrote:'BRFC was a well run club, the envy of the big city clubs, and I mean Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds and many more. We were a club run efficiently, a club with pride, passion and with a support that knew what the club meant. The football club had an identity and a mantra of taking on the biggest clubs and making them tremble, a club that had worked so hard for success, a club that was the envy of the footballing world and a club that knew about hard work and how to work and get success and all this after many years of struggle and strife.'

Re: A letter to the Venky's
Aren't they just a bunch of spoilt, deluded idiots.
'We were a club run efficiently' erm, no you were not - how many times do they need reminding - The Walker Trust wrote off £100 million before the Venkys bought them and managed to run up another 100 million, despite ploughing a fortune of their own money in - do they not understand ?? they were already massively in debt - seriously, do they not get it ??
'a club with pride, passion and with a support that knew what the club meant' - well, that may be true to your 8,000 or so who used to turn up pre- uncle jack.
'The football club had an identity and a mantra of taking on the biggest clubs and making them tremble' - aye, alright then. I'd keep taking the ketamine if I were you, cos its clearly working.
'a club that had worked so hard for success' - nope, uncle jack spu nked his pension fund for you, and gave you all a shiny new stadium and (almost free) match day tickets and now the gravy train is over, you are speechless someone wont make it magically happen all over again.
'club that was the envy of the footballing world' - ditto the ketamine remark above.
What a load of old bol lox a lot of 'em spout and I honestly think, in their tiny little minds, they actually think its true.
They're goin down. Relegated from the 'Chumpionship' as they ironically used to call it. Whilst we really have done it the hard way, slowly clawing our way back from the bottom of the 4th Division, all the while listening to their continuous gloating. Well, my bburn chums, you've all gone strangely quiet lately. I'm afraid its a huge dose of 'what comes around, goes around'.
When did they last beat us ? no, I cant remember either.
UTC NNN.

Re: A letter to the Venky's
Accusing the Rao- Venky family openly of murder, stealing, lying and cheating is something I would love the family to put into the hands of their solicitors to sue the accuser for damages. They will not recover enough money to pay off some of the clubs debt, but if they succeed, the rest of the clubs supporters might consider what they write, before posting such comments.
It will hopefully then turn some more against the Venkys and the club.
Best case scenario is, the Venkys get to know what they've been accused of and decide to get their own back, by cutting their losses and close the club down FOREVER.

Re: A letter to the Venky's
"A contractual agreement to protect the Jack Walker statue...."
Priorities, eh?
Chairman John Williams said, "The conclusion of this deal is clearly a significant event in the history of
this club."
You can say that again, Johnny boy.
Maybe they should put the statue in central defence, it couldn't do any worse than Wes Brown.
I rememberJack Straw grovelling before the Venkys when they arrived.
Can't wait to see that bastid squirm.
Mrs. Desai, woman of the year.

One unsuccessful season in the promise land and still with Brian Laws (football genius) in charge!
*
£14.4 million profit and after a 37 year old forward loan signings, and you are happy with the way your club is run!
*
Do you think our new owners are going to say, we have 10's of millions to spend and have the price of players hiked up, these are shrewd business people!
*
Now go back to the little boys league and leave us PREMIERSHIP TEAMS alone!
how times change eh

That article is a reminder that should anyone ever talk of turning Burnley into "a truly global brand" we should run a mile!!!

Re: A letter to the Venky's
The Venkys, quite naturally, get our praise, but truth be told it was Kentaro who really screwed the club up. They practically raped it by inserting their own managers, buying their own players.
If it was anyone other than Bastards it would be criminal.
But it is Bastards so it's hilarious
