Joshua will be too much for him too fast and upbeat
Re: The gloves are off
Everyone's writing Waladimir off for this fight.
He got it all wrong against Fury when he couldn't beat him with his leading hand. Never had a plan B.
He might just cause AJ some problems

I'd rather watch two adult men discuss their upcoming fight like normal people than have a WWE style story line complete with pre-planned 'violence', only to discover it's all orchestrated the moment the fight is over and they're w@nking each other off in the ring.

No storylines no wwe either just need someone to tell klitchko he's a has been and is past it. Not build him up to be the best because fury showed he is past it. Yet the hype aj will get for beating him will be unreal mark my words.SammyBoy wrote:I'd rather watch two adult men discuss their upcoming fight like normal people than have a WWE style story line complete with pre-planned 'violence', only to discover it's all orchestrated the moment the fight is over and they're w@nking each other off in the ring.

Re: The gloves are off
Given that AJ is a professional doing a job, and probably doesn't have strong feelings about Klitschko either way I can understand why he's not 'laying the Smackdown' on him during these press conferences. AJ doesn't come across as an obnoxious big mouth so I can appreciate why he's just appearing quietly respectful of WK's achievements and I think I would feel similarly uncomfortable playing up for the cameras if it was me.
It's ironic because I definitely remember a thread on here during the farcical build up to Haye-Bellew where people (myself included) were saying they were sick of having their intelligence insulted by these shenanigans, so seeing AJ and WK acting like normal members of society, 'boring' though it might be is quite refreshing.

God forbid that man ever returns to professional boxing. Very, very bad for the sport.CFS wrote:Bit like a father son sit down tbh. Bored the life out of me bring back fury to teach them both a lesson I say.

Should be a good fight. Got a feeling Klitschko will win this one.
Massive respect for Klitschko. One of my all time favourite fighters and very intelligent out of the ring as well as in it!

Re: The gloves are off
I can't say I'm a fan of Klitschko myself, he's effective at what he does but his fighting style is fairly robotic and I find him dull to watch. It should be a good fight though because he's definitely better than anything AJ has faced so far, however, I think AJ will be too much for him one way or another. Nice to have a competitive fight on the horizon though and definitely no need for any 'bad blood' in the build up to make people want to tune in.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Should be a good fight. Re: The gloves are off
I like watching him (and Mayweather) who many think are boring. But the defensive style is exciting if you like that sort of style. Very difficult to beat. A draw could be tempting at the right odds.

Re: The gloves are off
That's the interesting thing, Mayweather is one of my favourite fighters due to his defensive style. I just think it's only exciting when they're using it against a very dangerous fighter who is stronger and has the ability to take them out, as Mayweather usually was. Whereas, with Klitschko often times I thought he was just unnecessarily cautious against opponents who really didn't have anything in their locker to trouble him regardless of what style he used.
