Dyche has lost the plot. Tried and trusted Dycheball coming up. Feel sorry for those who have traveled to watch this.

If Sean was as big a gambler as Joey we'd have been home and hosed by Easter. We wait and see but I'm not at all confident with that starting eleven. And worse still, it means we will likely continue with some dead wood next season if we do survive. That is not good enough and will see us down easily in 2018. In my opinion, of course.

Palace have no fit centre halves and are playing full backs in the middle - makes sense to try and bully them with two big men - won't be pretty to watch but we need effective today

Looks like we are going to bypass the midfield which means there's no point in defour starting

Pick boyd and arfield to defend when we don't have the ball and lump it forward when we do

Barnes to win free kicks - plenty of big men to attack them

I've bet 10 quid on -1 to palace at 2/1. I already had us to lose before the line up was announced. Printing money

If I'm wrong I am happy

Would be more than happy to eat a humongous piece of humble pie.

But let's take our heads out of the sand, just for five minutes.

This is regression, and an admittance from Dyche that he doesn't know how to set us up away from home. There's no progression, or 'learning', despite what Dyche would have you believe.

Palace two substitute center backs. Why on earth no Gray?

I can't understand why people are surprised or even disappointed with the line up, surely it's patently obvious why he's done it.
Palace are flying and we need to defend like never before. That means playing Arfield and Boyd. That means we are going to have to play more hump ball, which means playing Barnes and Vokes. Westwood in for Joey is also an obvious switch, with holding the midfield up a priority. Tarks in for an injured Mee is a no-brainer.
If it doesn't work we have a bench that could change the game, so long as we don't leave it too late to make those changes.

I'm not over confident, but this line up gives us a chance.

One in the eye for all those wallies who have spent the last week losing their nerve and doubting these these players and the methods that got us here in the first place whilst ignoring that our underlying form was pretty good.

Tactics spot on, every player at least an 8 out of 10, and one of the most committed performances you will see. We're lucky Sean ignores the football geniuses that have made this a classic thread.

To be fair we've tried it 18 times and it's worked once. As they say a broken clock is right twice a day.

And they did, well done SD, perhaps injuries and suspensions did it for you like they did for OC.
Hope he realises there is more to the squad than the central core, now to expand on the framework.
