Re: MOTD running order
Sky usually show 30 minute highlights of all premier league games in the early hours of Sunday morning. This week though as soon as we win away for the first time they are showing all games except ours. Typical. No one likes us.

It might be because it was shown on BT Sport? Sky might have to wait before they can show it.thelaughingclaret wrote:Sky usually show 30 minute highlights of all premier league games in the early hours of Sunday morning. Re: MOTD running order
Maybe. It's just a shame as I'll have to watch MOTD and I can't stand watching it. Suppose it will be better since we are staying up!
Re: MOTD running order
You cannot be serious about us on third. How the hell do they justify that

Re: MOTD running order
Perhaps it's because if it were on first, many people would watch that and then turn the other turgid games off?
With Sunderland having been relegated today though, I'm guessing that will have top billing will it as it's probably today's biggest story (outside of Burnley, naturally!)

Re: MOTD running order
I believe Sunderland are first and then the Southampton Hull game...not sure the logic of that one tbh.
For the record, I don't even watch MOTD. I just wanted to let people know after seeing a video of Lineker going through the running order

There'll only be a minute of highlights on Goals on Sunday as well.
That's all Sky can show of games that were on BT Sport

Re: MOTD running order
Good. I can enjoy my "supper" and settle down on the couch in the front parlour to enjoy the game - and see all the action I couldn't see earlier today at Selhurst Park. I, and several others, were in "seats" (we were all standing) at the very end of the stand. The corner flag at the opposite side of the goal was hidden from view by a scaffolding stanchion. And, a triangular section of the pitch down the by-line from the halfway line all the way to about 10 yards in from the corner flag at the other end of the stand was out of view. Great view of Andre Gray's goal. I'd no idea who scored our first - or what happened to the disallowed one.IndigoLake wrote:Burnley game to be shown 3rd
I also got "told off" by the stewards for standing on the seats. My son was expecting I'd be the oldest supporter to be ejected!
Great win today.

Wow!! Praise from Sheila!!
Re: MOTD running order
I'm slightly behind, but struggling to understand how Southampton v Hull is on first. I watched it live and it was one of the dullest games I've seen this season.

Re: MOTD running order
I was impressed with Shearers comments but I wonder if one of the production crew had a handful of his kn4ckers under the table. If not, it must have really hurt to praise us, so credit to him as he didn't seem to spit it out with much venom.

Re: MOTD running order
Fair comments from Shearer.
It would have been a right bugger losing Heaton to a red card.
About time we had a bit of something go our way.

Correct, bot.
Our turn for a bit o luck.

Re: MOTD running order
Maybe that Heaton sending off compensates for the two handballs/offside against Arsenal. Althought I would prefer todays 3 pts against the two from Arsenal games

Re: MOTD running order
lighters thrown, over excitable Jonathon Pearce highlighting palaces's missing key players. Rubbish, we were miles better, Heaton was incredibly lucky to stay on. what on earth was he doing ?
Ward was phenommenal, Vokes quite rightly won praise, Barnes excelled , Shearer ? too little too late. Sounded insincere.
Gray should have ran straight to BOYD to acknowledge the pass of the season. Linekar is a fool.

Re: MOTD running order
We were on third because the headline news of a fairly quiet day was confirmation of Sunderland's relegation, and the Hull and Sunderland games collectively resulted in that.
We got a decent write up. Jonathan Pearce will always favour the London clubs, he's an idiot like that unfortunately.
