Left Field Players
On another thread we were discussing potential players for next season.
Most of the players are fairly obvious ones.
Players we’ve been linked with, or players going down from the Prem, or decent Championship players not going up.
But what about your ‘left field’ players?
Has anyone got any players they’d like to champion?

Some on the thread you've referred to that aren't that obvious

Probably not, hence the "Most of the players are fairly obvious ones"taio wrote:Some on the thread you've referred to that aren't that obvious
My question is just to ask has anyone seen a player that has gone completley under the radar?

Re: Left Field Players
If SD bought left field players he'd play them on the right anyway.

I reckon some of the ones I posted aren't obvious e.g. Christie, Haller and Swift that I don't think have ever been mentioned on here before.
...and I wasn't criticising you creating another thread coz the other one was about transfer budget

Christie is a brilliant calltaio wrote:I reckon some of the ones I posted aren't obvious e.g. Christie, Haller and Swift that I don't think have ever been mentioned on here before.
Re: Left Field Players
Sam Gallagher on loan at Rovers (I know, I know) from Southampton. Has looked good for them in a shocking season, has all the physical attributes to make it in the PL and young enough to have lots of development left.
Re: Left Field Players
Pizzi, Bas Dost, Jonas, Danilo Pereira, William Carvalho.

Re: Left Field Players
In addition to my suggestions on the other thread (Sam Larsson and Nicolai Jorgensen) how about these peaches?
Ryad Boudebouz
Marcus Coco
Jean Seri (massively left field, not a chance we'd ever get him)
Harry 'Henry' Charsley (Everton U23 player)
I should probably do some work at some point today...

I prefer not to speculate. What will happen will happen. And I'll be behind them 100%.

Re: Left Field Players
Yeah I've watched a few games this season when I've had chance (not in the last couple of months though). Certainly wouldn't profess to be a font of knowledge but the three players I mentioned all stood out, especially Jean Seri (which is ironic considering his stature)halfmanhalfbiscuit wrote:You watch French football? Re: Left Field Players
Ben Pearson (PNE) - I know quite a few North End fans (for shame) who rave about Pearson. Young central midfielder they signed from Man Utd. I have only seen him once in the flesh but he looked very tidy and could be the kind of cheap-ish punt that could pay dividends.
Alex Pritchard (Norwich) - Versatile, good on set pieces, still young enough to improve and would be in our fee bracket. Dyche is a known fan and whilst he has turned us down at least once I would not say no.
Joe Rowley (Chesterfield) - Living in Chesterfield and being engaged to a season ticket holder I obviously get the inside track on this club, and go to the odd game. They are an awful side and have finished bottom of League One under the stupendously inept Gary Caldwell, but Rowley is a prospect who is being tracked by a host of clubs including the likes of Southampton and Everton. Attacking midfielder, 17 years old, already starting and scoring goals in League One - worth a look. Chesterfield are shafted financially, he would go for 200-300 grand.
Just a few lower league shouts - I still want to see us topping up the U23 squad ala Agyei, O'Neill and Ginnelly. Pritchard would obviously be for straight away, the other two are admittedly punts.

Carvalho is a minimum 30 million quid player and by all accounts could well be off to Man CityKRBFC wrote:Pizzi, Bas Dost, Jonas, Danilo Pereira, William Carvalho.

Yup, an unrealistic target we'd have no hope of affording/attracting but that's what these type of topics are for.Vegas Claret wrote:Carvalho is a minimum 30 million quid player and by all accounts could well be off to Man City

Dyche would just play them on the right.
