Long time no message . . .

Post by rejected » Mon May 01, 2017 8:24 pm

Well, it's been a rubbish but VERY predictable last couple of months. . .

We were never going to have enough. I've been going to football to have seen us go down a good few times.

The thing this time is I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. Not without a MASSIVE change of personnel.

I was delighted for you at the weekend. You'd been on a slippery run but that was exactly what was needed.

Guess you're definitely my Premier league club now . . . providing neither of the last 2 book reviews were by your fans!! :-) :-) #SCATHING

Sad for you Rejected but it's been coming for a while.Moyes pre-season message wasn't the most encouraging. He knew what he'd taken on.
Reading the Northern Echo thread on your finances is worrying. Hopefully the wage stealers can be sold on and seasoned Championship players brought in to replace them.
Thankfully we have local owners who put the club first.
To look on the bright side at least you've an extra 8 matches a season and, hopefully, you won't have to go to that sh1th0le just up the road from us!
Good luck to you, the PL needs Northern teams(except Leeds)

It's the revenue to spend ratio that needs looking at.

Nice to hear from you again, Rejected. I think it was about time for Sunderland really as they've been flirting with relegation for ages. I hope the necessary changes are made so that you can soon be back in the Premier League! Best of luck :)

Sad, but chance of the rebirth of a once great club.
As with a lot of "big" clubs time to get your house in order.
Hope the powers that be realise that
Good luck.

If you start getting a few wins next season, you'll have bigger gates than yesterday. As the Toon found out, relegation isn't the end of the world.
Sadly your situation is different, but sorting the mess out will be easier in the Championship than floating around the bottom of the Prem again.

Good luck next season lad.

From experience, the joy of a promotion chasing season in the Championship is better than getting beat every week in the Prem

Enjoy next season, there'll be some good times ahead

Sunderland never seem to spend too long in the Championship/Second Tier. They'll be back.
As others have said; enjoy the experience of winning far more than you lose.
Also, and this may sound counter intuitive, keep Moyes. He's a good Manager. He's now got something to prove. Let him rebuild your Team and you'll be back up in the next couple of years.
