My first favourite player was Billy Hamilton

Ian Britton where would we be without that goal.

Robbie Blake, when Blake had a good game it was a privelledge just to be there.

John Deary just loved his commitment and he could play a bit as well.

Andy Payton Natural Born Claret. Knew where the onion bag was.

It's hard having to leave players out like JayRod, Tom Heaton, Steve Davis, John Deary, and in particular for me David Eyres and Trevor Steven.

My picks (Tripps, Ings, Blake, Little and Payton) are based on the players who I loved to watch and had the biggest impact on the club in their spells playing for us. All the players excited me during a game and were match winners in their contribution.

i have been watching Burnley for 35 years and in those first 20 or so years whilst there were lots of players I loved like Roger Eli, Conroy, Deary, Eyres, Tin Man etc the struggle of the club compared to the relative success of the subsequent years in The Championship and Premier League for me personally has just meant I have appreciated the better quality of more recent teams.

Favourite player in every position would be easier - maybe ?!!!

Would it be a 4-4-2 or can we ditch the framework (as successful as it has been!)????????
