Stephen Ireland was a very good player a while back, he just seemed to randomly go off the boil and has never recovered since.

Even at his age I think we could do worse than him on a free transfer. Would be a decent backup to replace one of Marney or Barton. (and I love Marney but we don't know what condition he will come back in, or how many games he will play).

One thing is blatantly bloody obvious to most Burnley fans... Scott Arfield isn't good enough. If we want to improve our strength of side and squad for next season, he won't be a part of it.

I think this is rubbish, to be honest.

Why does everyone think that Heaton is staying? In January, Everton were desperate to sign him and Tom wanted to go.

I'm not convinced Tom WANTS to go, but I'd be VERY surprised if there weren't a line of suitors queuing to woo him and to grease Mr Garlick's palm with more money than he can .......say no to!! So it may be touch and go and both parties may have their resolve tested.

Meyler won't be a target.

He suffered a knee ligament injury only last month. Likely to be out for some time.

Surely we should be looking at some of the top players from RELEGATED clubs, such as:

Clucas, Davies, Robertson and Maguire from Hull.
Chambers (Arsenal now), Gibson, Traore and Clayton from Boro.
Defoe from Sunderland.

Defoe is going to be on 100k a week at Bournemouth. Reckon we can pip them to that signing?
