Season 2017/18 fixtures
I believe that the fixtures for next season for the Premier League will be announced on 14 June.

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Huddersfield away and Spurs away probably the first two I'll look for.

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Q. What sort of allocation do you think we will receive for spurs away?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
I'm sure that I've read somewhere that there's a breakfast function at the Turf that day to coincide with the release of the fixtures but can't find anything on the club website. Anyone know anything about this?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Probably the minimum that they have to give us ie 3000.claretdj wrote:Q. What sort of allocation do you think we will receive for spurs away?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
3000 @ Wembley leisure? 90,000 capacity, so I thought we would get a lot more than that.

It is only about 12k more than Utd and you only get 3000 there. That is the max clubs have to offer.

You won't see it advertised - it's by invitation only to sponsorsLeisure wrote:I'm sure that I've read somewhere that there's a breakfast function at the Turf that day to coincide with the release of the fixtures but can't find anything on the club website. Anyone know anything about this?

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
If a club has a capacity under 30000 they have to provide away clubs with 10% of the capacity. If the capacity is over 30000 it's a minimum of 3000.claretdj wrote:3000 @ Wembley leisure? 90,000 capacity, so I thought we would get a lot more than that.
Spurs have already given their seating plan for next season at Wembley and the away allocation is as per what Tony has said.

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Can't see spurs filling it every game, so they could of been a bit more generous with away allocations.
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
I thought from next season teams weren't allowed to stick away fans up in the Gods?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Correct and some of the seats at Wembley will be at pitch level.jrgbfc wrote:I thought from next season teams weren't allowed to stick away fans up in the Gods?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
So in theory there's nothing to stop a club offering a tiny amount of tickets in the lower tier and then sticking the vast majority up in the Gods somewhere?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
I suspect Spurs will sell it out for most matches, although it may not be full. They have about 60,000 fans on the waiting list for season tickets.
Interestingly the plan for next year is only to sell ~60,000 season tickets (in line with what will be available at the new stadium) so I guess there are going to be 25,000 or so tickets available to purchase. I imagine that for lower priority games like us they will go past the priority scheme and end up on general sale.

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Possibly but don't think clubs would want away fans in different parts of the ground.jrgbfc wrote:So in theory there's nothing to stop a club offering a tiny amount of tickets in the lower tier and then sticking the vast majority up in the Gods somewhere?

Seating plan for Spurs next season.
87,000 Spurs fans in Wembley will make for some atmosphere.

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
They have to provide some seats at pitch level (i.e. at the front). It's lower tier at Wembley so that's fine and the only club who will need to make changes are Newcastle.jrgbfc wrote:I thought from next season teams weren't allowed to stick away fans up in the Gods?
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
I've been invited and I've never sponsored a thing. It does seem to be a way of trying to get new sponsors on board though, can imagine it being a timeshare like experience.ClaretTony wrote:You won't see it advertised - it's by invitation only to sponsors

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
The 'pitch level' argument is an interesting one. Was very close to pitch level at Everton this season and as many on here will no doubt testify it is an appalling view.

Same can be said about the view at Arsenal from the front seats!Silkyskills1 wrote:The 'pitch level' argument is an interesting one. Was very close to pitch level at Everton this season and as many on here will no doubt testify it is an appalling view.

I assume that the 'pitch level' thing is so the TV cameras can show away fans celebrating at the side of the pitch

Not sure that's the caseFalcon wrote:I assume that the 'pitch level' thing is so the TV cameras can show away fans celebrating at the side of the pitch
Everton & Palace both locate the away supporters on the side of the main camera so wouldn't see them (although obviously there's more than one camera)
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Me being trivial I suppose, but is the current away end at United classed as being 'pitch level'?

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Interestingly, Man U used to include the bottom block just on the side so they might add that. They were asking for dispensation because the area in front of the away section is disabled. No idea whether that will be the case.

Spurs should have just bought wembley and england gone back on the road.
Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Is it the end we had against Sheff U?
If so, that's the area me and Mrs McL occupied (not all of it!)

Re: Season 2017/18 fixtures
Think they should rename them as " a rough guide to a possible time and date when the game may be played depending on domestic cup games, European cup games, grounds not ready and wether the TV gods decide your game should be moved to a Friday night, Saturday noon, Saturday tea, Sunday noon, Sunday afternoon, Monday night etc etc" The word fixture perhaps is a tad optimistic in planning your diary around.
