Re: Now Puel gone
Expectations really have risen at Sarfhampton. Top 10 finish and a cup final not enough these days.
Alot of the fans found his football dull, I believe. Conclude what you want from that.

Re: Now Puel gone
Echoes of Charlton letting Alan Curbishley go, at the end of the 2005/6 season after 6 straight Premier League seasons, as they wanted " to move to the next level ".... 11 years later, they finished up 13th in League 1, ( 3rd Division, in old money ) ... be careful what you wish for !!

Re: Now Puel gone
Aren't Soton up for sale - because of German (have I got that country right?) tax obligations of the previous, now deceased, owner?
Re: Now Puel gone
I think he's another who's done a good job on the face of things, but the fans never seemed to take to him.
It'll be interesting to see who they'll now go for. If I were them I'd be looking at Eddie Howe.

If I was the chairman of Southampton FC I'd ask Liverpool who to appoint.

Skipton took almost 20 minutes to get a dig in at Dyche, his alarm must be faulty

Re: Now Puel gone
Tuchel is well favourite with the bookies- about evens. De Boer and M Pellegrino are the next two at c 5/1 and 10/1 respectively.
Dyche is in with "the field" at 25/1 along with other notables such as Gary Neville, David Moyes, L van Gaal, M Phelan and BFS.
Eddie is 40/1. You can apparently get 500/1 on Craig David at one bookies.

Re: Now Puel gone
Can You Fill Me In on why Craig David would make a good manager? Unbelievable! Whether he indeed has a Rendez-vous with the powers that be at Southampton is open to debate but anybody seriously suggesting him obviously has a Hidden Agenda. Sure, he's Hot Stuff in the world of music but Southampton are guaranteed a Rise and Fall if they appoint him.LeadBelly wrote:Tuchel is well favourite with the bookies- about evens. When the Bassline Drops, Saints will be in the **** and need to turn to someone like Dyche to save them from the mess Craig David created by (most likely) Walking Away from too big a challenge in a few short months or as little as 7 Days. A potential situation such as this is enough to give anyone Insomnia. If Dyche does leave to replace Craig David, I just hope we can all Come Together and support his replacement.
Yep, I tried too hard.

Re: Now Puel gone
The fans didn't take to his style of defensive football. They won't be looking for a similar style to replace him with.

Indigo- you know far too much about Craig David's music but appear to have a downer on him. Where's Your Love?

Haha, sneaky. I failed to find a place for 'You Don't Miss Your Water' in there. As such, I consider my attempt a total failure.LeadBelly wrote:Indigo- you know far too much about Craig David's music but appear to have a downer on him. Where's Your Love?
