Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
Well, NBC sports just made a big change here in the US.
Previously, you could watch matches on TV and the rest were all available via online streaming each week if you had purchased a TV package.
However, this is going to change in August, with NBC sports separating these two services.
Basically if you have TV, you will still be able to watch the couple of matches.
But, in order to watch the streaming matches, its now 50 bucks.
Which isn't too bad, EXCEPT, you don't get all of the matches, just an extra 3 a week or so.
So, basically, Burnley is not popular enough to be shown on TV and probably won't be shown streaming online.
Anybody been watching on NBC sports? Anyone have any suggestions on how to watch Burnley in the US?

I wonder how this affects watching on the FireTV app.
Currently all games at all times are there and you just click on whichever one you want.

Re: Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
I had Clarets Player when Burnley were in the championship but it looks like its only live audio for the matches and not the full match replay.
Here is the link for the new nbcsportsgold
http://www.nbcsports.com/gold/nbc-sport ... ges-prices" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
so basically 130 streaming games over the year, rather than all of them.

You guys get kodi/mobdro over there, right?
Don't think it's any secret that that's how a lot of us on this mb access the games.
Unless it changes next season.
Or sportsmania.

On my media center, I did have Kodi but it seemed like anytime I got something to work, a few weeks later it break
I would go with the pay route with NBC but I doubt that Burnley is going to be on much. NBC did say that each team would be on at least 3 times

I've seen the threads re: Kodi / Mobi and was interested but after reading about 2 steps the technology was far beyond meElectroClaret wrote:You guys get kodi/mobdro over there, right?

I don't think the Fire Stick will work. Its the NBC sports app, and the sports app is going to be this new streaming service (it won't verify against a TV subaccount)
I work in IT and Kodi seems slightly daunting, but anything to watch the Clarets !

Re: Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
I've read various things about this NBC thing in the last 30 mins, some sites say they are showing every game and some don't. I'll wait and see what they say towards the beginning of the season before making a decision. Zero interest in having NBC to just watch Man Utd every week

If you get an iptv its just an addon for kodi you will still be able to stream the games . They usually have a selection for live football and you take your pick which one you fancy . I pay £10 a month for full package thats everything including box office never had any problemsAshevilleNCClaret wrote:Well, NBC sports just made a big change here in the US.

Can you not download the app onto your device your using ? There a plenty of free ones that will do the trick . Your better off with one that you pay for because its more solidCharlieinNewMexico wrote:our IPs are territorially blocked for a lot of things though. the way this is written suggests that we can watch all the games across the two subscriptions

I run everything from a first edition Amazon Firestick.
I did just manage to download Kodi onto it though, which I didn't think it would do.

I have a feeling the phrase "password share" might come into being here, VegasVegas Claret wrote:the way this is written suggests that we can watch all the games across the two subscriptions

Re: Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
I'm paying the fkn fee. Get that it doesn't mean I get to see us every week. This past year, at some point every game, I was so fkn frantic and nervous anyhow, a simple click and I watched Sunderland get fkn hammered for a few minutes before my heart let me go back to our fingernails down the leather Burnley claw, scratch and eyes closed - can we get a point Saturday morning??? I'm sure no other overseas fan feels that??? AshevileNCClarets. Need to watch a game eh? VegasClaret....sorry, would love we ALL came same time......

What they're saying though affects the streams on kodi/mobdro/sportsmania etc, as they take their streams from NBC's live coverage.ElectroClaret wrote:You guys get kodi/mobdro over there, right?

If NBC aren't showing those games, then those games will be less likely to be on kodi/mobdro etc, unless they can get a Thai feed or something.
Re: Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
will depend on who Burnley are playing as whether they are on TV or not, I have recorded all the NBC sports matches when home last season. Never used there streaming but hubby is changing TV and threatening to change TV package and add some internet devices to his new 4K toy

Re: Big change for NBC sports and watching the Premier League
I was able to see all the streamed games on my fire stick via a provider that was not my cable provider. I must have done a 7 day trial or something, cancelled it, but it never switched off!
Have to say the NBC coverage is unrivaled on the planet!
