Despite the loooovely hair, George Boyd was never the most glamorous of players.
Workmanlike and tireless are the kind of adjectives his performance bring to mind but he was an excellent servant to us.
So what's your favourite George Boyd moment?
For me, it's his goal away at Charlton in the Championship clinching final game of the title winning season. The whole day was pure euphoria and Boyd got in on the act.
Thanks George

When he flicked his hair back and ran across a beach in a bikini......no wait, that may have been Bo Derek.

That peach of a pass with the outside of his boot for Andre to run on to and score the 2nd goal against Palace which almost certainly meant we had won the game and clinched our PL survival last season.
And the City goal..

His whole time here has been a favourite moment for me, simply from the laughs I've had due to a mate of mine who really doesn't like him.

When he scored the third in the 3-1 away win at Brentford to put us 3-0 up before half time.
It was that first half when I just sat laughing as I realised we were definitely going up on account of being far too good to stay in that league.

The City goal takes some beating for euphoria, but the home goal versus Stoke was huge last season.

His total commitment to the team. Not the most gifted team member but no one could match his effort.
He will be missed but JBG can carry on the good work on goal assists.
That pass for the second at Palace and his goal in our demolition of franchise fc away on a wet weekday night also live long in the memory

City goal for me.
My Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary party (40Years). My Dad had convinced my Mum he would be back in Keighley for a 7:30 start. There was no way we were leaving the ground early that night after that goal. We floated in late with beaming smiles and to be fair my Mum soon forgot and forgave (after we bought her a few bottles of wine).
I also have a soft spot for:
- The goal at Birmingham (Championship winning year) as well, far from a classic, but had a great day out and it played a vital part in getting what were a very difficult 3 points.
- Not a goal but his performance in the Friday night win at Deepdale. He was awesome in my opinion that night.

For me the goal against Man City. I was on a stag do in Benidorm at the time with about 15 Blackburn fans. Watching the game on the terrace in the Red Lion which was also full of City fans I was getting abuse left right and centre.
Well when Boyds goal went in only one voice could be heard as I was stood on a table celebrating. Great times.

The Stoke goal last season, I was starting to seriously question whether or not we had the bottle to stay in this league.
Priceless goal, lovely, tidy finish.

Not just the (scruffy) goal, but his performance away at Birmingham last season was extraordinary.
Top man George, all the best.

Have Blackburn still got 15 fans? Were they all vurners?

Easy to point to the Man City goal and when you look at it, and his ability to get shots in like that, you do wonder why the goals seem to have dried up. Also the goal against Stoke in the final home win last season and the goal he got at Charlton which finally calmed my nerves and left me knowing that we were going up as champions.
At least we won't be told by the media now about his running which got tedious - there's more to him than that.

His goal against Bournemouth last season.
The way he bamboozled Aké with his lack of pace was a joy to watch. Tidy finish, too.
