Good OP leading to some lively debate and some god)and not so good) witty remarks.
Someone decides to be quite critical of a player and others defend said player. Nothing wrong in that, we are all entitled to our opinions and others entitled to challenge them.
Then a small number of idiots start throwing insults, try to appear clever etc and it descends into a slanging match.
At least we had quite a few good posts before the idiots joined in this time.

Was quite an enjoyable read up until then. Even quite liked your analysis of Ben Mee's faults. Very thorough and well made argument, even if your analysis was fundamentally flawed.

So far this window we have made some solid signings, in my view, that will not doubt strengthen the squad and add competition for starting places. However, other than perhaps Assombalonga, we have yet to be linked with someone more exciting. With a right back, right winger and centre back seemingly still on the shopping list, do you think it is likely that we will make that marquee signing that will set the pulses racing? If we are going to splash the cash, I would personally like to see it done on a creative attacking player.

Thought I'd bring us back online...personally, a "creative attacking player" means to me, a player who has a free role! Something which doesn't fit into our current system. We've plenty of players now who can play a decent pass if the front men make the right runs.

CH is crucial. Ours both seem to be heading into the season with small injuries
