Don't the likes of Chelsea have players on big wages on their books...in the reserves ?we loaned one,not bamford and he's been at Chelsea a while, they pay him a wage a good wage but he couldn't get in our team. It shows how far burnley have come.good luck to him. In sd we trust!

A 3 yr. contract for a player approaching his 8th season with us and 20 odd games under his belt. We must have come a very long way I would suggest. And yes, good luck to him though I suspect he doesn't need it.

In the last three games last season Tarkowski was responsible for three mistakes that led to goals leaving many to have wobbles about how good he really is. Kevin Long had none - it may not work out for him but some people aren't judging him fairly and frankly just spouting the party line of the nay sayers without thinking.

His playing time hasn't been helped by the clubs progression. Two years ago he needed to be a quality championship player to book a place in the first team. So he develops and he improves in order to reach that standard and all of a sudden we are in the premiership. Now he has to meet the requirements of being a premiership standard player to secure a regular first team slot. It's like the bar keeps moving upwards, he improves and the standard of player we need increases.
We were in the premier league when we signed him. 8 years ago!

Just seems strange we sell our best defender and then end up with Mee and two untested centre halves going into a second season in the top flight. Add to that we sign an attacking left back and 'convert' him to a centre half within three weeks.

30 million plus the rest of our budget for this summer we need to be doing better than offering a reserve centre half who is 27 and started a handful of games yet another contract and praying that he's going to be the next best thing.

Just remember people, with the amount of games he's played for us in footballing years he's only 21.

Makes no sense in regards to Long stealing a wage from the club for the last 7 yrs.

Stealing a wage would be showing no determination to play.

Well he's not really challenging for a first team spot...
We might as well stick a younger player on the bench for the all good he does.

We will get a centre half
But it will take a few games to convince Dyche we need one
Last minute stuff
