Re: Roll call for Stamford Bridge...
Long journey from South West London to Stamford Bridge - about 10 miles. I wonder if I should go on my bike, or take a little bit longer on bus/train/underground?
Can't wait.

On my own, 8:35 train from Manchester. Just hoping I can get back to Kings Cross in an hour after the game or else I will miss the train from Manchester back to Whalley for myself.
Hoping for a 5 man midfield with Cork, Hendrick and Defour

Re: Roll call for Stamford Bridge...
Gutted to be missing this (local fixture), but attending 10 year memorial in Heswall for Liverpool-fanatic school friend of wife, who choked to death on a piece of steak at lunch before opening match of season in 2007. Some things are more important (pace Bill Shankley). Hoping for a 1-1 draw.

West Brampton, 2 stations down the line and trains every 10 minutes.MLD wrote:Sorry just had a look it's Shepherd's Bush
Parking cost about £8.00 for the day.
Should be OK for getting away after I would hope and handy for heading north back up the A40
Re: Roll call for Stamford Bridge...

Re: Roll call for Stamford Bridge...
Unfortunately I'm at a wedding, despite explaining to the wife that she needs to tell her friends not to get married on a Saturday, unless it's outside the season.
As usual it fell on deaf ears.
Despite missing the game, traditionally our results when I've been at a wedding are shocking. I actually thought we'd broken the run when I dipped out on the Hull at home last season, but the wedding jinx bit again.
That said, I would rather waste the Chelsea result to a wedding curse, than say home to Huddersfield.
So enjoy your day you lucky few, but don't expect a result. Feel free to blame our lasses mates.
