My message to Sean Dyche

Post by Hedontplayforyou » Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:36 pm

Play our strongest possible team in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

That is all.

My heart says we'll easily win 3-0. My head remembers Accrington and Lincoln.

Accrington away was an absolute shambles. We're owed a big performance and win in this competition.

History tells us he won't. We can beg all we want, but we all know he doesn't care about cup competitions no matter who we play.
Blackburn will be chomping at the bit while we'll be chomping on humble pie.

Exactly, may give us a boost in the league too, being on the back of a victory in a local derby. Fingers crossed

Can I ask what you're 'laughing' at?

You seem far too depressed to be laughing.

Got to go all out for this one. Dyche knows what this game means and has a 100% record against them.

Get all the first teamers out and fired up!!!!

Get into em!!!!!

Agree. Given the current standings of both teams, we can not afford a banana skin game. Play your best team, Sean, beat them and if we get beat next round, who cares.

If he plays a weakened side and lose he will be getting a lot of stick from fans. He knows what this game means to the fans and I trust he will field a strong team. In Dyche we Trust UTC!

Apart from anything else, as a Premier League club we should have realistic aspirations of winning this competition. Hopefully, given the opponents, Dyche will not dare field a reserve team for this one.

Have we won a League Cup tie as a Premier League team?

2009/10: Barnsley
2014/15: Sheff Wed ??
2016/17: Accy.

We beat Hartlepool away in our first Prem season. Fletcher scored two I think. I remember the game because my son was amazed by the giant hot dogs they served up from the kiosk.

Can't see us risking too many of the first team against league one cloggers.

Given the players sold and not replaced, isn't your reserve team now your first team anyway? :)

SD reckons we have real competition for every place in the squad now so we could play 1 team on the Saturday and, theoretically, a different team midweek and they would be roughly equal - or not! LOL

I dont even care about these irrelevent bastards 8 times out of 10.
I usually hate PNE more . But this is one of the odd couple of occasions I do. So much so id sacrifice survival over winning this. We cant afford anything but an absolute battering of them. Lets get that 5 nowt overturned.

Ffs 70 teams and we get them.

No need to give him a message, he knows the fans make the club.

Lose this and it could affect our season massively because fans will never forget and will then quickly if results and performances go the same way as the last 16 league games did last season!
Lose this an get relegated and Dyche would be gone.
Its a must win he simply cannot lose this game it means too much

Completely agree, note our results after the Lincoln debacle weren't much to write home about, confidence could be dented early in the season by defeat in this fixture.

The greatest insult is to say "Blackburn who?" and place no additional interest on the match.

I'm not interested in the competition. PL season is all that matters.....that and top 6 finish! ;)
