Do you know the bookies?

Post by Cleveleys_claret » Wed Aug 16, 2017 1:04 pm

In the game against Celta I was sat in the upper stand of the James Hargreaves in the section D and about sixth row up. Behind me were two fans, one a typical know it all and one who was a mate of his but could tell he wasn't interested in getting into discussions with said know it all as he was thick as two short planks. The topic for the match was Mayweather vs McGregor. Know it all told his mate that he thought Mayweather was going to get his ass whooped as UFC is light years ahead of boxing and any boxer would get beat by a UFC in either format. Now I don't agree but I couldn't help myself chuckling for a good ten minutes at know it all's boast to his pal "Gonna clean up on the fight anyways pal, that bookies down the road from us is offering odds of 30/1 for McGregor to win"(I know right, crazy odds.....but the best bit was yet to come) "and 20/1 for Mayweather to win, so gonna put a fiver on each so will clean up whoever wins"

Does anyone know this bookies because at these odds I fancy splitting my life savings and putting half on one and half on the other?

Still good odds. £60 on Mayweather gives back £63, £2.04 on MacGregor gives back £63.24. Can't lose.

odds sound wrong...try 1/30 mayweather and 20/1 macgregor....even those odds would be over generous for our bookie chappies.
cant see mayweather winning early....perhaps round betting in later rounds better and a bet on points win....that way you could perhaps get 1/8 ish.

I think its Paddy Power running the offer for new customers only, max bet will be low.

The Betfair market has it much tighter with McGregor a measily 4/1 and Mayweather 1/4

I've nibbled at the draw at 84/1... there's summink fishy about this show
