Re: Wood/Wells partnership
I would rather look elsewhere. BUT Wells or nobody - would rather Wells. Gives us an option we dont currently have.
To look at it another way. Gray. Or Wood and Wells. Id prefer the latter.

He is different (and with a far better goalscoring record)boatshed bill wrote:Does anyone on here really think Wells is better than Barnes?
Barnes has scored double figures once and it was 6 seasons ago. Wells has scored 10 plus 6 out of the last 7 seasons. Half of which at Championship where Barnes did it in 2011.

Looking at partnerships, there hasn't been much wrong with Barnes/Vokes, and the latest cameo with Barnes/Wood. I hope Wells is not AB's replacement

They are completely different. Its like comparing Brady and Hendrick.boatshed bill wrote:So is that a yes?

Would I rather:
Vokes
Barnes
Gray
or
Vokes
Wood
Walters
Wells
And possibly Barnes
Well the gives us far more options, goals, styles etc
I hope we dont lose Barnes. But I am already happy with having more options and with the addition of Wells more pace!
Wells looks like an impact sub type option. Who else is available who we could get that would be prepared to sign to do that? I dont know. He has scored goals against top sides before and has consistently done pretty well at all levels.
