Re: New FreeSports Channel
From the lineup I'd assume it's basically Premier Sports coming to freeview.
Is it going to be available on sky?

Interesting. Been having problems with my Freeview and/or coax. Retuned it the other day after rewiring. Ranges anything from 100 to 171 channels available. Can't see that one on the list. May be this area though.

It will predominantly be rubbish (stock car racing is on now) but it's 'free' rubbish.

Re: New FreeSports Channel
Checked it out. It's a nice idea but who wants to watch SD sport these days? I used to sub a few years ago to Premier for the NHL but you could barely make out what was going on.
Its still a subscription service for Premier HD too so I'll be missing out. ah well

Re: New FreeSports Channel
On the question of picture quality I was in a pub watching a match last month when the landlord suddenly pressed a button on his remote and the picture became more defined.
To my eyes I thought it was worse then the original one so I asked him politely to change it back, he was not happy as he said that Sky had charged him for the privilege of having it.
I think the problem was that when the ball was in the air and move quickly there was a sort of temporary blurring of the picture, I do where glasses now but my eyes are not that bad in general.
Anyone else had the same problem?

I think anyone saying they would prefer not to watch sport than watch it in SD is guiding the pretentious Lilly to be honest.

Live just off Burnley road Rawtenstall and because I receive the signal from a relay rather than direct from a main mast can only get about 16 TV programs on freeview.Done away with TV Ariel as use freesat or Sky now.

On Freesat from the 11th according to Twitter, but you can pick it up now if your receiver has STB mode.Im_not_Robbie_Blake wrote:Is it on Freesat as well as Freeview?

Re: New FreeSports Channel
Problem is anyone with an UHD tv is gonna say SD looks like crap. Watch on a decent FHD tv and it's a different story. Scaling of SD on UHD tv's is awful.
Broadcast TV really needs to catch up though, there's no bandwidth available for more than a few hd channels...
