Lost tickets advice
Just wondering if anyone has experience of this, received 3 tickets for Liverpool game in post last week but they appear to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Turned house upside down but no sign. Am going to contact ticket office tomorrow to see if it's possible to get replacements, but just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else?

Re: Lost tickets advice
I've just found 3 tickets suddenly appear on the mantelpiece.
Anybody want them?
In all seriousness could you not just say you haven't received them?

Re: Lost tickets advice
Ticket office will likely be able to sort out reprints for you, but you'd need to show ID and collect them on match day at anfield. I had a similar issue at Old Trafford last season.

Thought about saying didn't get them but wanted to sort it out and be honest. Thanks Rick, problem being they were booked on my ex wife's claret number by our son, for ease, but sadly she's in East lancs hospice literally on deaths door, game was to take our sons mind off the grim reality of the situation, so I imagine that it won't be as easy as it sounds.

Surely the club can help - they are humans after all.
Ring them in the morning.
Every time I've had to deal with the ticket office personally they've been really good.

Usually tickets can be reprinted with "replacement" printed on them and they take precedence over the previous issued ones. B ones But I don't know if Burnley do that.

If you go in the ticket office at a quiet time and explain, you will get sorted out, no problem.

Re: Lost tickets advice
Certainly not an easy time, thank you. We took our son on his first game when he was about 6 weeks old, if that. A cold Tuesday night in November 1995. There is a photograph in a programme around that time, youngest supporter and all that.
When nature has taken its course I will post on here. There will be a good few people who know her, and will be shocked and upset. Another fanatical Claret through and through, who is far too young to leave us.

That makes him a year older than my son. I thought that I was too young to lose my dad at 43. I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and I can't imagine my kids going through that. Best wishes to you all.

Re: Lost tickets advice
So sorry to hear that. As has been mentioned, a good honest chat with Elaine in the ticket office will get you sorted out, in fact all the ticket office staff will be helpful as I have found on many occasions. Good luck sorting it out and I hope you and your son enjoy the game.Pimlico_Claret wrote:Thought about saying didn't get them but wanted to sort it out and be honest. Re: Lost tickets advice
Contact the ticket office but the decision will be Liverpool's. It all depends whether they will do re-prints. Some clubs will do,others won't.
If you can get into our ticket office I'd advise you to do that. They will let you know what Liverpool's position is.

So sorry to hear that PaintYorkClaretnBlue, I hope you are OK,it is the worst disease imaginable . And your name reminds me of one of my best ever Burnley games, just before I met my wife to be then, but my passion for Burnley obviously rubbed off, she has had a season ticket since 1994, and despite the fact that we divorced, we remained on good terms, shared custody of our passionate Claret son. She always used to blame me for her pain of having to follow Burnley during the dark days, given that I have been a fan since 1972, but was more forgiving once we finally got back to the top tier. I always told her it was a long term relationship, Burnley, not me

Re: Lost tickets advice
I'm fine for now thanks mate, my two year scan was clear in June! It's a credit to you and your ex-wife that you've managed to remain on good terms despite your divorce. The good that it will have done your son is immeasurable, there can be nothing worse than having the two people you love most in the world at each other's throats. He's gonna need you so much when the worst happens. Take care bud.Pimlico_Claret wrote:So sorry to hear that PaintYorkClaretnBlue, I hope you are OK,it is the worst disease imaginable . Thanks, sometimes you have to make decisions for the good of others rather than your own at the time , but it will always work out for the best ultimately all round. Hope you continue to stay healthy and happy. UTCPaintYorkClaretnBlue wrote:I'm fine for now thanks mate, my two year scan was clear in June! I posted on this thread to try and offer some advice for Pimlico regarding his tickets but have just read through it.Pimlico_Claret wrote:Thought about saying didn't get them but wanted to sort it out and be honest. PaintYorkClaretnBlue, I recall you telling me about your cancer some time ago. What good news to hear that you are clear for now. Let's all hope it stays like that.
Pimlico_Claret - I am not aware that I know you but the news of your ex-wife sounds very much like the news I received recently about a good friend of mine. She is in a hospice too aged just 50 with cancer. I know she's divorced, re-married and has a son around 21. I've been devastated with the news.

Re: Lost tickets advice
I've been to the ticket office this morning and hopefully can pick up replacement tickets at Liverpool before the match. Thanks to everyone on here who offered advice, and Elaine at Burnley was indeed a star.
CT, I think we are talking about the same person, she was a prolific poster on the original message board in the mid to late 90's. It's devastating news, she is literally in her final few days now. Too many Clarets leaving us far too soon it seems.

If you paid by card, wouldn't showing them the card and ID be enough?

Re: Lost tickets advice
No - as I posted above, it all depends on the other club and whether they will re-print tickets. I know that Chelsea do and I know that Blackburn don't but it is their choice. If Liverpool had said now there is nothing our ticket office can do about it.FactualFrank wrote:If you paid by card, wouldn't showing them the card and ID be enough?
Elaine is really helpful. I spoke to her this morning on something else and asked about your tickets, but you'd been in by then and got it sorted.Pimlico_Claret wrote:I've been to the ticket office this morning and hopefully can pick up replacement tickets at Liverpool before the match. Re: your ex-wife, I think we have to be talking about the same person. I knew she was poorly but it was just four weeks ago today that I received the devastating news from a mutual friend and then, just after the Spurs game, I learned she was in the hospice. This world is just not a fair place is it? I love her to bits.

CT, she is the same person. My son and I had been to Wembley for the Spurs game, whilst the hospice move was taking place. Unfortunately, her deterioration has been quite rapid and so will be a huge shock to many people who maybe didn't know. Thanks for your help and sympathy.

Ordered mine through the Foundation on the first day of sale (2 weeks ago tomorrow) and not received them yet.
