Defenders do exist as does the loan market
Leicester have completed the loan signing of Aleksandar Dragovic from Bayer Leverkusen on a season long loan.
He’s a big rock of a defender, not known for his brilliant footwork…probably never appeared on a Pep Guardiola shortlist.
But the Foxes have been keen on him for a long time and they needed another centre back. He won’t stroll into the team but will be a useful addition.
Transfer Deadline Day - not Burnley
Re: Transfer Deadline Day - not Burnley
According to Keano he decided go to Everton over a move to Man Utd.ClaretTony wrote:It was only Everton
But he must be wrong seeing as posters on here obviously know better.

Either that or far more likely that some posters might be daft enough to believe generic articles from sites such as espn, especially those who dig up a thread to try and make a point when they are wrong. If you don't choose to believe me, that's your choice, but what I posted I know to be correct.Geoff wrote:According to Keano he decided go to Everton over a move to Man Utd.

It's from an interview with Paul Joyce that was published in the Times and has a direct quote from Keane.ClaretTony wrote:Either that or far more likely that some posters might be daft enough to believe generic articles from sites such as espn, especially those who dig up a thread to try and make a point when they are wrong. From reading that article i think it worked something like Utd showed an interest in him via his Agent, I guess Burnley weren't involved in that part, he says no thanks to them Utd don't make a bid. Everton approach him via his Agent he says yes please Everton make a bid. So in terms of bids to the Club there was only ever 1 Club bidding and that was Everton which I think is what Tony means when he says there was only one team.

His agent is his brother, but that's absolutely spot on Jarrow in terms of who came in for him. Everton were the only club to make an offer for him.JarrowClaret wrote:From reading that article i think it worked something like Utd showed an interest in him via his Agent, I guess Burnley weren't involved in that part, he says no thanks to them Utd don't make a bid.
