Wright touting Dyche for Arsenal

Post by Pstotto » Mon Oct 02, 2017 11:19 pm

On the BBC website just now. It's not worth a link, silly story gossiping Wright b*tch man filling up air time disturbing BFC.

He said yes.

That's fine by me. Instead of being linked with smaller Premier clubs who don't quite dare take the step of appointing him, he's now being linked with larger Premier clubs who, I am confident, will also not dare to take the step of appointing him.

At this rate he'll still be at Burnley until we win the Champions League. By which point there'll be no point him leaving!

He's a grubby little nerk who blags a living from telling half-wit plastic fans what they need to hear, and whoring his sad arse around cheap tv commercials for parasitic betting companies.

His opinions, if possible, are worth less than that third rate toper Merson's.

Whilst a lot of what Wright says is basically fan-speak on this issue he's made a perfectly reasonable response to the question he was asked.

Sean's not going to get a 'top four' job yet because he has no European experience. Everton has been mentioned as natural progression because it's a club he could realistically take into Europe.

The irony of all this that he better he does for us, the more his job opportunities narrow. Over the last couple of years Stoke, West Brom, West Ham would have been a pretty obvious step-up but if this season continues as it's started then these could genuinely start to be considered as sideways moves. That only leaves clubs better than mid-table PL, better resourced than BFC but not good enough for Champions' League - it's a very short list.

This must increase his chances of staying as long as he thinks he can achieve year-on-year improvement.

From what I heard he said when asked what Arses need is someone like SD who could sort the defence out there and get them playing as a team, but that no one would dare take the punt on him so SD will probably have to take the England job and show what he can do before he is ever given a chance at a big club.

I thought he was bang on the money, which made a change. I get that people feel he doesn't seem to take any pride in Burnley the way he does with Arsenal and Crystal Palace but tbf he's the same with WHU... I think its just that he spent many seasons at the two clubs he supports. Nothing wrong with that, its preferable than Lee Dixon, who despite never being a regular for Burnley grew up here.

He olayed 12 games for us ffs and is arsenals all time leading scorer. Of course he is going to favour them.

Contrast this with Ian Moore. Our once record signing who played many games for us and gets slated yet he loves the club.

Burnley fans are simpletons at times.

Wright is bound to be more supportive of Arsenal and Palace and that is fair enough. However he steels a living as a pundit as he is illiterate and contributes nothing. Arsenal fans are hard to please and and I don't think Dyche football would please them.

Wright made a valid point on sundays 606 about Dyche can only be judged when he has had a big transfer pot to spend on players, especially strikers. He has got us to where we are, on work ethic and teamwork which has balanced out the old “punching above our weight” cliché. We buy players that fit into the mold and its going to take deep pockets and faith to move up the ranks if we aspire to being a regular top 10 side.
Unfortunately splashing the cash is no guarantee as Koemans’ £220 million spending spree in 15 months has shown. Lots of individual talent is no use if you haven't got the skills to gel them into a unit.
For once Wright was very positive about Burnley, made a refreshing change.

The large squads of large egos is what SD will have to deal with if he is to manage at the highest level, a very different ball game from where he stands now.

I heard the comments on radio 5 live and thought he was quite complimentary about us and acknowledged a thank you from a Burnley fan who for his time at the club.

Oh , and the is is absolutely no chance whatsoever that Dyche would ever become Arsenal's manager.

I remember him doing his bit for us, on the field.

He's ok by me.

Ian Wright commenting on football unfortunately is about as interesting and insightful as me picking my nose.
